Forever and Always - SHOTOXOC (Eng Ver.)

Chapter Forty-Nine

In the end it wasn't food.
They were heroes who broke into the villains' hideout so they could save Bakugo and me.
My parents were also among them.

But their rescue did not work at the time.
We were teleported via a strange substance to an isolated part of the city.
I can't quite figure out where we are because everything is destroyed and it doesn't look like an area I know. The real leader of the LoV has come out and is fighting All Might while Bakugo and I are facing the rest of the league.

We are back to back and it is two against six so even fighting, we have little chance of success.
They want to take us away again but this time it won't be so easy for them.

Bakugo jumps backward while I levitate up avoiding an attack from them.
I could run away from here, but I can't leave Katsuki and I wouldn't know where to go. The blond is busy fighting Toga not noticing Shigaraki behind him ready to strike him.
I immediately drop to the ground parrying in front of my classmate, ready to take the blow for him but just before the impact a pair of arms encircling my waist moving me to the side, all of this achieved by a huge explosion.

"ARE YOU CRAZY? DO YOU WANT TO BE KILLED? YOU DON'T NEED TO DEFEND ME MEGAMIND." The blond shouts at me, putting his back against mine.
"STOP YELLING AT ME! IF I WASN'T THERE TO COVER YOUR ASS EVERY TIME YOU'D BE DEAD LONG AGO." I yell back at him, taking control of a couple of pieces of debris and throwing them at Twice.
The boy replies nothing, also busy fighting.

As I am attacking another enemy, a huge wall of ice starts from behind the building.
This can only be the work of Shoto.
A few seconds later, three figures emerge from the tip of the ice.
They are Deku, Kiri, and Iida!
A huge smile forms on my face.
Our friends! They have come to rescue us.

"COME!" The redhead shouts, extending his hand toward us.
Bakugo and I look at each other for a second before he draws me to him holding me by the waist.
With his free hand he causes an explosion that allows us to jump out of there distracting the villains.
I attach myself to Katsuki by putting my arms around his neck while thanks to the blond's quirk we manage to reach our classmates.
Bakugo grabs Kirishima's hand as he holds me tightly preventing me from falling.

"Idiots." Says the blond, smiling at our friends.
We are saved.

Shoto POV

"Midoriya, are you okay?" I ask over the phone in a worried voice.
"Yes, we're all fine. We're in front of the station." The boy answers me.
"We're on our way." I say putting the call down.
Yaoyorozu follows me smiling. I think, just like me, she is looking forward to being able to hug Mei again. "Come on, let's go to her Todoroki." She says as she passes me with a quick step.
I follow her heading toward the station.

Mei POV

"Thank you guys. Really. You were wonderful." I say, hugging Kirishima.
The boy reciprocates and they keep asking if we are really okay.
I am talking to Iida when I see everyone turn to someone behind me. I also turn around following their gaze and notice two figures from a distance coming toward us.
I give a toothy grin before I see Shoto start running toward me. I do the same thing by making my way through the crowd and seeing him come closer and closer.

My eyes begin to moisten as the boy has one of the most beautiful smiles on his face I have ever seen.
I throw myself into his arms throwing them around his neck as he catches me on the fly surrounding my waist with his arms.
He holds me tight against his chest as I let go in a silent cry.

Shoto POV

She is here with me again. She is in my arms, safe and sound. I hold her tightly to me. I will never again allow anything to separate her from me.
I sink my face into her hair, letting her usual pomegranate scent intoxicate me.
The girl pulls away, resting her wonderful eyes on me, and I realize I am crying only when she wipes away a tear that runs down my cheek.

I give her a smile taking her face in my hands and wiping away her tears as well.
I lean my forehead against hers and Mei closes her eyes, starting to laugh.
"You're here. You're really here." I tell her, studying every feature of her face, almost as if she might vanish again at any moment.
"I'm all right now. I'm here and I'm never going away." She tells me, bringing her hands against my chest.

She looks up at me before squeezing the fabric of my shirt between her fingers.
I look at her, too, and suddenly she draws me to her, resting her lips on mine.
I could live only on her kisses.

I have kissed her only twice and they are already a drug for me.
I gently caress her cheek as we exchange a sweet kiss.
I am almost afraid of hurting her, breaking her, knowing how fragile she can actually be in my arms.
She pulls away shortly after, completely flushed on her face as she smiles at me.

"I don't want to disturb you, but I think I'm entitled to greet my best friend, too." Yaoyorozu says behind us.
Mei breaks away from me and pounces on the girl, holding her tightly to her.
The two girls laugh and, as if she were her mother, Yaoyorozu checks the girl I love for injuries.

For the moment, everything seems apposite.
