The start is given and I have already lost Shoto. All the students rush toward the starting block, start jostling and throwing elbows to get through.
Fortunately my height in this comes in handy and I manage to make room and get out of the press of people.

As soon as I manage to get a foot out of there an ice sheet forms, blocking both my legs.
Most of my comrades are in the same situation as me.
This is his doing. I look up and see Todoroki in front of everyone running. I give a smirk.
"DON'T THINK THAT'S ENOUGH TO STOP ME ICYHOT."

Thanks to my quirk I manage to quietly break free from his ice.
After years of training together I know well how to take control of it and use it to my liking.
I immediately levitate myself and immediately overcome the ice.
The rest of my comrades manage to get rid of it, too, and we all run toward it.
As I am about to reach Shoto, I see Mineta being hit by a huge robot.
"IT'S THE ROBOTS FROM THE ENTRANCE EXAM!"

So that's today's first obstacle!
The horde of robots completely blocks the passage, which makes it impossible to get around them.
Shoto is the first one in front of them and of course he cannot help but draw attention to himself.
With an ice attack he completely freezes the robots that stand in his way.

And I can't help but be distracted by his exploits.
He has such a powerful quirk and controls it flawlessly.
And while he's doing it, he's also handsome.
"TODOROKI THROWS HIMSELF FORWARD AND LOCKS THE OTHERS IN AN ICE GRIP! THAT GUY IS TOUGH!"

Present Mic's voice shakes me out of my frozen state. I can't pass up this chance to get noticed.
I take control of the frozen robots.
Some red light comes out of my hands and envelops them completely.
I give a small smile knowing that eyes are now on me and I love this feeling of control.
I stand up in midair and look down at the rest of the students staring at me.

With one blow, I fling most of the robots past my shoulders, which smash to its ground further blocking the passage of the rest of the school.
"TAKEDA OF 1-A MANAGES TO COPE WITH TODOROKI'S ATTACK WITHOUT DIFFICULTY AND PASSES INTO SECOND PLACE!"

The announcement only increases the adrenaline coursing through my body.
As soon as my feet touch the ground again, I run with all my strength to reach Shoto.
I turn the corner and see him in front of me running toward the next obstacle.
I sprint and run even faster.

I catch up with him having stopped to analyze his next move.
"What is it?" I ask him, stopping to catch my breath. Ahead of us are stretches of land connected by ropes that seem strong enough.

In the distance we see the continuation of the path and hear behind us the voices of the rest of the students who are joining us.
I see Shoto about to say something so I take advantage of the situation to move ahead.
I levitate again, move forward and step into first position.

I notice a small smirk forming on Shoto's face before he, too, begins to freeze the ropes and step over them with ease.
"WARNING! TAKEDA MOVES INTO FIRST POSITION PASSING THE FORMER LEADER OF THE COMPETITION."
Oh this is still nothing.
I keep gaining speed and moving forward.
In front of me the other side is getting clearer and clearer.

I look down and notice that my best friend is standing exactly below me.
He has caught up with me without difficulty.
I also begin to hear explosions getting closer and closer.

It will be Bakugo's doing.
I continue to contend for first position with Shoto until we arrive at the same moment on the other side.
We start running head to head again, trying to outrun each other by a little.

"SHORTLY THEY WILL ENTER THE AREA OF THE LAST OBSTACLE!!! THE SAME MINEFIELD AS RAMP 3!"
The heterochromatic boy finds himself forced to stop at the beginning of the field. I raise my hand and wave to him before levitating past him through the air. I see his face contract in anger as I hold the first place.

The boy starts passing the field being very careful not to step on any landmines. I hear several other students reach the beginning of the field and the explosions are dangerously close. I nudge myself forward.
"DON'T YOU THINK YOU MADE THE DECLARATION OF WAR TO THE WRONG PERSON!" I turn my head toward the voice and see Bakugo and Shoto vying for second place. The blond continues to launch ahead thanks to his explosions and moves into second place.

I try to go as fast as I can, but suddenly Bakugo unleashes an explosion in my direction. I throw myself totally to the side and lose my balance and find myself rolling on the ground.
I have dirt in my eyes and mouth and my arm is sore from the hit with the ground. I get back up as fast as I can as I see both the blond and Shoto overtake me. The last one turns to look at me.

"ARE YOU OK?" He yells at me. I smile at him before starting to levitate again. That will not be what stops me. I see him respond to my smile and within seconds I catch up with him.
So there are three of us contending for first place. "COULD WE HAVE THREE WINNERS!" I shoulder Bakugo to overtake him being the same height.

"You weren't very fair earlier you know!" I overtake him before I feel him grab my leg.
I turn around and see the blond grinning at me, and as he is pulling me back, Shoto grabs his arm, freezes part of it, and I think I have never seen this expression on his face.
His face is contracted with anger. His eyes are two slits while his lips are a thin line. And he is staring at Bakugo. "Don't try to touch her again." He says through gritted teeth clutching his arm further.

All three of us are interrupted by a huge ejection behind us. We turn around at the same time and see Midoriya on a plank that- riding the explosion?
"MIDORIYA OF CLASS A GOES ON THE COUNTERATTACK.... AND LOOKS LIKE HE CAN LEAP INTO THE LEAD!!!" We keep going until we see him pass over our heads. We set off at the same time in pursuit of Deku.

Shoto freezes part of the ground and runs over us. Bakugo and I come head to head just behind Izuku, and my best friend soon catches up with us. We are about to overtake the green-haired boy when the boy uses the piece of metal he rode the blast with to hurl him to the ground and set off another explosion.

All three of us find ourselves thrown to the side. I roll again and this time hit my knee. I raise my head and see Izuku cross the finish line.

Damn it!
IT WASN'T SUPPOSED TO BE LIKE THIS.
I get up again and run as fast as I can to the exit.
