Seeing Professor Aizawa return to class is quite heartening.
His head and arms are both totally bandaged but fortunately he is fine.
More or less.

Classes resumed normally after the day off, and our professor announced that the sports festival will still be held this year, despite recent events.
The event creates enough anxiety for me. It is my opportunity to show who I am and to impress the heroes.
As Aizawa said, it is an opportunity not to be missed if we aspire to be heroes.

I will have to work even harder than I have so far.
Then I can also make my parents proud of the heroine I will become.
And hopefully also my sister wherever she is.
"Hey Mei!" Mina's voice wakes me up from my thoughts and I notice her, Momo and Asui standing in front of my desk.

"Shall we go eat? Are you ready?" The black-haired girl asks me, giving me a big smile.
I simply nod before standing up and turning to Shoto.
"Are you coming too?" I ask, holding out my hand to him.
The boy shakes his head before standing up and passing me without uttering a word.

I drop my hand along my side and my smile fades.
He has been particularly strange all day.
This morning he didn't even greet me when we saw each other.
He handed me breakfast then slipped on his headphones and started walking.
"Hey, are you okay?" Yaoyorozu asks me while stroking my back.
"Yeah, I think so." I fake a smile to reassure them, so I head to the cafeteria to eat with them.

Once back in the classroom, we see Denki, Kirishima and Sero running toward us.
"You guys have no idea what we just saw!" Red announces to us.
"Aizawa twerking?" Mina proposes.
"All Might in tights?" I ask.

"Isn't he always in tights? I say seeing his costumes." Mina points out.
"Yeah well, you know what I mean. Like pink tights no? There is would be stranger than expected." I say in an obvious manner.

Mina nods understanding on the fly what I meant.
"What, no! God! What is wrong with you two?" Fake Pikachu asks us.
"Asks us the one that every time he uses his quirk he gets dumber and dumber!" I retort by crossing my arms, and my pink-haired companion imitates me.
"That's not very nice." Asui points out.
"No no. She's got a point." Denki agrees.
But what?

"However..." Sero brings attention back to the main topic.
"WE SAW BAKUGO WITH A GIRL!" Kirishima announces, leaving no time for the other boy to finish.
"OH COME ON I WANTED TO SAY THAT!"
"No. Wait. SERIOUS? Bakugo? With a girl? SPILL THE TEA!" I say suddenly interested in the story.

Out of the corner of my eye I see Shoto slowly approach to try to listen in on the conversation.
"Yes! And she was pretty, too. And he was blushing because of something she said to him. BLUSHED I TELL YOU." Denki exults in speaking.
"And does she study here?" Mina asks.
"No Mina. She was here because Nick Fury asked her to recruit the new Avengers."
The girl replies with a foul tongue and I hear Momo snickering beside me.

"I think she's in the support section." Shoto interjects himself into the conversation.
We all turn to look at him.
Surely the others didn't expect him to be so interested in the conversation while I know full well that this guy lives for gossip.

"How do you know?" Sero asks him.
"He took her back to class."
"And you followed them?"
The boy simply shrugs his shoulders as I bring my hand to my face.
"You're still the same as always." I smile at him trying an approach with him again. And this time he responds. He moves closer to me and nods before whispering an apology.

And that's all it takes for me.
Because I already know what he wants to apologize for. And it's all settled for us now.
I give him a little pinch on the arm for his behavior and he cashes in without saying anything.

"But so what was she like?"
Momo's question brings us back to focus on the conversation.
"She had red hair and was very pretty. We didn't see much of her face because her back was turned. But certainly the first thing you notice about her is precisely her hair. By the way they also had a very good shade."
Kirishima says and I notice a tone of envy in his voice.

"What are you talking about?" Bakugo's voice behind us makes us freeze on the spot.
None of us say anything and we all remain motionless.
"So? Do you want to stand still all the time? EITHER TALK OR GET OUT OF THE WAY."
Immediately we move to the side to let him pass.
We hear a 'Tch' before we see him go to his desk.
We breathe a sigh of relief before we each return to our seats.

We finish the day's lessons and hear a great commotion outside our classroom.
The first to open the door is Ochako, who freezes in the doorway and the buzz gets louder and louder.
"WHAT THE HELL?!" Claims the stunned girl.
I hurriedly close my bag before rushing to the door.

Many students from other classes are standing still in front of ours and trying to look in.
They make more and more noise as they push themselves to see.
"They are blocking the exit! Why are they here?" Mineta asks beside Bakugo.
I wave for Shoto to join me so he can see too.
"We're being examined before the big battle, you idiot." Katsuki states, leaving Mineta stunned.

I sense that they are talking about something else but because of the noise little can be heard.
I move closer to the door passing Iida and Midoriya. I stand at Ochako's side and finally hear the conversation more clearly.
A purple-haired boy has made his way through the crowd to face Bakugo.
"Did you say spy on the competition? At least I, from the education department, do.
I will make you lick the floor if you take us lightly. Consider it a declaration of war!"

The boy stands still staring at Bakugo who is paradoxically calm unlike me.
Who does this guy think he is?
He couldn't even get into the hero section and he talks like this.
If he wants war that's what he's going to get.
I hit the ground running and stand at Bakugo's side with my arms crossed as I stare defiantly into this student's eyes.

His violet eyes clash with my cold gray eyes and a chill seems to fall around us.
I hear footsteps behind me and realize it is Shoto ready to intervene.
Another B-section boy starts shouting from above the crowd.
"I DIDN'T EXPECT TO SEE PUNKS LIKE YOU! DON'T MAKE US LOOK BAD AT THE FESTIVAL!"

This is the straw that breaks the camel's back.
I pull down my bag and drop it into Ochako's hand while pulling up the sleeves of my jacket.
"Oh I'll show you the punk."
Shoto immediately approaches to affirm me but as I'm stepping forward I feel Bakugo's arm rest in front of me.
Is he blocking me?

He pulls me back slightly and then looks at me.
"Never mind." He tells us before turning back to the crowd.
"None of this will matter once we get to the top."
We stand still and look at him, amazed that he didn't raise his voice or stop me from giving the guy some.

With that said, he leaves and the crowd disperses.
Shoto stands in front of me and starts pulling down my sleeves and adjusting them.
He retrieves my bag from Ochako and settles it on my shoulder.
I let him do everything exactly like a little girl when her mother gets her ready for school.

I stay staring at him as he, as always, takes care of me even in the smallest things.
"You should stop being so impulsive." He tells me, taking a few strands of hair behind my ear.
"Sooner or later I'd get you into real trouble. Like when we were kids."

I smile at him before lowering my gaze to my feet.
"I only did that when I had to defend you."
"Even though I knew full well you didn't need to."
The boy gives me a small smile before offering me his arm.
"Come on. Let's go home."

The part of the sports festival that I honestly can't wait to write for all the ideas I have is about to begin.
And that is where the DRAMA will begin.
