Chapter 36: Absolute Defense

[Northern Border of Celeste Kingdom]

Located on the northern border of Celeste Kingdom near the walls of the Amid Empire, about 2 days had passed since Asagi had mobilized her angels to depart to the northern side, Gabriel and his 200 troops of angels then finally arrived at their destination which is the war camp of a certain commander situated near the walls of the Amid Empire in the north

Upon landing unto the earthen ground of the surface, Gabriel and his troops then noticed the wary faces of the soldiers around the camp, seemingly staying cautious about their presence, after all despite both kingdoms having an allied status plastered on their propaganda, it still didn't remove the wariness of some people towards them due to that difference of species and race

Of course despite that species and racial complex, the angels themselves disregarded such thoughts as they see themselves above in status than the humans who bore the original sin during the age of gods

Despite them not being the actual angel depicted in the bible of every religious texts, the angels themselves still personifies such being as something closely related to the real thing, after all they are made from the mana of the system and Asagi which they regarded as their queen

Upon landing amidst the crowd, the commander of the soldiers in this war camp then stepped forward to greet their allies who took their time to assist them on this battlefield

"Greetings! I'm the commander of the northern front! You can call me Hob, I believe that you are the angels depicted on the report that will come assist us alongside the other reinforcement of the kingdom?"

"Indeed! I am Gabriel! the General of this force together with 200 of my kind, we have been ordered by our queen to assist you on retrieving the control over the border walls"

"Oh! ah General! Your status and responsibilities is way heavier than mine!" said Commander Hob in surprise

"No need for such a reaction! A status is just a title plastered on some piece of paper and not a depiction of its usability, in war skills is what needed on such occasion not some titles" Replied Gabriel causing Commander Hob to be amazed by his words

However Gabriel didn't dilly dally any longer as he proceeded on asking the current situation of the camp

"What's the current status of this camp?"

Hearing Gabriel's question, Commander Hob then immediately answered him while walking towards the intelligence tent

"Not looking good! In actuality raiding the wall is quite an easy task to be done, it can even be accomplished by a few skilled assassins, unfortunately things only became difficult when three people seemingly commander's on the enemy side begun taking action"

"Under their skills and lead, our troops was eventually pushed back and was forced to retreat due to how strong their commanding skills and individual strength is..."

"..."

"The commanders on the enemy side is a swordsman, spearman, and a lancer with a shield, with their intellect and experience in war they were then able to hold off our assault and create an absolute defense against our kingdom's forces"

With that Gabriel then replied

"There is no such thing as absolute! everything is destined to fall, even us ourselves"
