Chapter 97: Battle at the Stone Fortress (West) V

[Stone Fortress, West side of the southern territory]

Seeing that Tetra had returned back in this area despite his orders to move them away, due to the direness of the situation, Einar's anger slowly flared up as he rose from the ground and grabbed her shoulder hard enough to catch her attention.

"Tetra! What are you doing here? Didn't i ordered you to head to the other leaders?"

"This is no time to argue! The enemy is strong both of us know it too! Instead of running away, id rather butt heads with you to think of an idea to take him down"

Hearing her reply, Einar then felt her own stubbornness  just like her late parents as he grits his teeth in anger as his plans to push his niece away from harm has failed. Thus with pure anger he then retorted back.

"Its not running away! I just push you to fulfill an even greater of an importance of an objective! This is a battle between me and him! a battle of hon-"

But before Einar could finish his words, Tetra then threatened to attack him with her own axe as he glared back at him with ferocious eyes.

"Don't you dare say honor! My father died to a battle with its honor on the line! This is not a duel, this is war! Honor is only a secondary to the means of winning this war"

Upon seeing the determined look on Tetra's eyes, Einar's anger slowly calmed down as he breath out  a mouthful of air as he calmed his mind. Apparently Tetra also realized the graveness and danger of the enemy Einar faced, In fact she even hesitated a few times whenever she heard explosions coming from his area.

For Tetra, Einar is the only family member she recognized left in this world. Thus no matter what she couldn't afford to even lose him when both of her parents died in battle against the skirmishes of the west. Plus she had her own grudge that cant be easily quenched by a simply killing the fodders of the west.

Even thought she doesn't know who killed her parents, she then had no choice but to generalize all of the western tribes as her target for vengeance and anger. In fact it would be even hard for her to even reconcile with the west at this current moment. But if given ti8me she may change her mind.

However as if their conversation was of no value, Lothar then suddenly rushed in as he thrusted his spear towards them aiming for Tetra's head, causing Einar to quickly react and push her away from harms way at the very last second.

After he pushed her away, he naturally also dodged the attack as he parried up the spear before delivering a counter blow. Unfortunately his counter was easily blocked by Lothar by quickly pulling back his parried spear and marked down his incoming strike.

The moment He blocked the attack, Lothar then took a step back in order to slightly didwstance himself from Einar as he dodged the follow up swings from Tetra and also jumped back with a counter strike from Tetra's shield bash.

After he took a considerable distance away, he then quickly rushes in once more as he attack fervently with multiple strikes launched towards Tetra's shield. Once he did that, Einar then quickly squeezed in from the side as he swept up his battle axe which was blocked by Lothar, followed by a back swing and a reverse rotation slash which forced the latter to further back away.

Due to his berserked state, Einar's attack packs a considerable punch from each strike, forcing Lothar to not take his attacks lightly and dodge as much as possible.

With a light step, Lothar then speed blitz behind Einar as he gripped his spear and thrusted its blade forward. However Tetra was keeping an eye on Lothar's movement, thus once he made a move to blitz his way to her uncle's blind spot, she then quickly swung down her own axe and parried down the blade of his spear.
