Chapter 157: The Person In A Black Cloak

[White Castle's Emergency room]

Waking up in the room meant for isolated patients like a ward, Hero Sato then slowly opened his eyes as he felt the tears running down his cheeks and his emotions swelling up from him synchronizing with the people he had killed. On the other hand due to him synchronizing up with the one he killed, he then felt somewhat stronger than he ever was and somehow received a skill that suddenly popped up in his head.

Based on what he knows about the skill, it has a passive accumulation and active synchronization with its target. Whenever he killed someone or something of significant existence, the memories of such person and experience would pile up in his passive skill, until the moment he tries to use such skill which could later on be his main trump card to get stronger whenever he is in a difficult situation. By activating such skill, not only would he be able to experience the story of the people he killed, he would also somewhat tap unto his real power which could potentially save his life in dangerous situation.

This time in exchange for him getting stronger, he had realized the cruelty of humanity which somewhat wavered his belief whether humanity should be saved or not.

While this was in his head, he then slowly got up from the bed, as he walked slowly out of the room in his pajamas and wandered through the hall unattended. As he walked through the hall, he then occasionally glance outside the window as he saw the bright capital city of the kingdom in the sky, while being surrounded by a group of clouds which hid its glorious figure from the people below.

Even though the people in this kingdom were having the time of their life, enjoying life to its fullest, free of evil thoughts, Sato knew that the situation in the surface below is a huge contrast to what the people above were experiencing. If the people here are in their prime of ecstasy, the people in the surface on the other hand are in the peak of their suffering as its harsh environment doesn't forgive even the weak.

Evil in humanity, no matter how he sums it, that specific word often shows up in his head whenever he thought of good in humanity. Just like the opposite side of a coin, all matter of good has an evil side and all matter of evil has a good side, the one side just simply cant exist without the other.

"Is this world really worth saving?"

As Sato said those words, he then felt a pure divine energy coming out from one of the room in the end of the hallway. Shock by such magnitude of mana or energy coming from it, Sato then quickly followed its trail until it led him to a door quite far from the main area of the castle.

"This is... Quite far from the main area, just what is inside this room?"

Overwhelmed by curiosity, Sato slowly opened the door as he took a peak inside and saw something he shouldn't have. But before he could fully see the figure inside the room, a hand suddenly pushed the door he was opening, causing it to slam on its lock and Sato jumping out in surprise from that sudden intervention.

"What are you doing here?" Asked by Michael

Surprised by the appearance of an archangel before him, Sato quickly cowered back as he tried to excuse himself.

"I um uh.... I got lost"

"Lost? You? No matter how many times you flipped the whole world, you getting lost is impossible"

"Hey! Im just a human okay? I can still make mistake, im not immune to mistakes unlike you guys who were supposed to be created perfectly"

"Per... Hmmm... Right, thats how mortals view us, unfortunately such notion is false, we were not the ones created perfectly in his image... You were"
