Chapter 188: Bloody Night VII

[Tekoa Town, Ester's House]

As much as he like not to admit, Segel himself couldn't help but accept the fact that he was having a hard time finishing his mission given by Jabarin, of dispatching Ester's daughter. All of those is because of two people blocking his fact, and as if that wasn't enough, both of those said people are women.

Segel is an experienced fighter, warrior, and executioner. He had dealt with many strong opponents and large organizations in the past under the guidance of Jabarin. So the fact that he who was a professional at his job is still being held down by two women, he could not help but feel bitter and mocked at that exact moment.

Calming down his train of thoughts, he then begun to assess the situation as he realized that both Asagi and Ban are inexperienced when fighting agaisnt skilled opponents. Even though they managed to hold their ground agaisnt him, all of those were mere coincidence and thorough support coming from Ban. All of that is all because of them catching him off guard.

Coming up to that conclusion, Segel then quickly pulled put additional knives from his back pocket secretly, as he took a quick glance on Ban, causing Asagi who is currently watching him closely to react and move to intercept Segel.

Unfortunately that simple eye movement was just a feint, as it caught Asagi off guard, when Segel suddenly targeted her instead of Ban. Moving in to defend herself, Segel used this opportunity to push back Asagi with a single sword slash, while throwing some knives towards Ban at the same time, in order to prevent her from lending some support.

Because of those knives, Ban quickly cancelled her attack spell, as she quickly formed a barrier on herself in order to block the sudden knives attack. Of course the moment she did this, Segel then quickly charged towards Asagi, making a quick work of her by using footworks and sword movements which literally riddled Asagi's right arm with sword wounds.

"Agh!"

Seeing Asagi act in pain, quickly spun around as he kick her towards her guts and slamming her unto the wall, while also employing a sword wave slash towards the second floor which forced Ban to jump away for safety and isolating Asagi.

Unfortunately even though Segel had accounted all possibilities of support backup from Ban towards Asagi, he never took into account Asagi's perseverance and magic. Since the enemy is completely unknown to him, such magic caught him off guard as Asagi launched an attack towards him in point blank range.

"Luminous Orb!!!"

In one explosion, Segel was blown across the room, as he crashed towards the window of the first floor and rolled outside Ester's House.

From that point on, from the inside, Asagi launched multiple spells towards Segel, which literally caught the person himself by surprise and do everything in his arsenal to dodge the attack.

"Triple casting! Luminous Orb!!! Aerial Blast!!! Tetra Spear!!!"

Seeing three spells targeted towards him simultaneously, Segel quickly made a run for it as he dodged the attacks, leaving his spot which soon exploded into smithereens through Asagi's attack. However that wasn't the end of it, As Asagi quickly chased after him outside the house and begun bombarding him with ranged attacks.

"Aerial Bomb!!! Chain Lightning!!!"

As the attacks kept coming at him, Segel then continous to dodge the attacks, until he saw a particular house and entered the house itself.

Upon seeing that and the rushing adrenaline on her head, Asagi quickly followed along, causing Ban to try and call out to her as he felt like the enemy was trying its best to separate her from them. After all at this point Asagi is the main firepower of this group, so as long as she was away from the target, the rest of the people who are guarding Talia would be easy pickings for the enemy.
