Lex's feet were silent as she approached the front door, her heart palpitations were strange and off their usual beat. She couldn't put her finger on what was wrong, but what she did know that she liked it. It made her almost feel alive again.

The thick haired woman stood in front of the front door as she ran her fingers through her hair to make herself look a bit more presentable even if it was futile. Another knock resonated from the dark door. Lex took in a deep breath and opened the door to see who it was. She was met with the sight of a tall woman. A really tall woman in a flowing white empire waist gown with three black roses on her chest. She wore a wide black brimmed hat, black leather gloves and black boots. Her skin was ghostly white, her lips painted a deep crimson and her honey coloured eyes were bright and majestic.

Behind her were three girls, a bit shorter than Lex herself. They all wore the same dark cloak-like dresses with hoods over their heads, and the three girls all had the same bloodied smiles smeared across their lips. The only difference between the three of them was their hair.

''Mother, is this the new servant Granny Mirandy told us about?'' the brunette asked, pointing at Lex while looking at the much taller woman.

''I believe so, Cassandra.''

''What's up with the blindfold? Can you see out of that thing? Also, you smell really good! Can I touch your hair?'' the redhead jumped onto the blondes' back, trying to get a better look at Lex.

''Dani! Get the hell off me!'' the blonde shouted at her sister.

Lex blinked a few times but then remembered to bowed before the four women. ''Ah, Lady Dimitrescu if I'm not mistaken. Welcome to House Beneviento. My name is Lex, Lady Beneviento is currently in her workshop but told me she'd be up in a minute. Please, come in.'' the woman stepped off to the side, opening the door wide and gesturing for the four to come inside.

Lady Dimitrescu ducked down, slipping into the house with ease, her three daughters behind her and one more person behind those three that Lex didn't notice. This woman wasn't like Lady Dimitrescu or her three daughters. Her hair was a deep brown hair that was held up in a bun, a red mark on her neck near her jawline. Her eyes were an enchanting green and she wore a beautiful purple dress, revealing her collarbone and with the laces tightened to ensure it wouldn't slip off. Or, at least that's what Lex assumed since the woman was wearing a jacket over top of the dress. Her skin was dark and complimented her features well. Lex wouldn't deny it, the woman was very attractive.

''May I take you coat, Miss?'' Lex asked politely. The woman smiled at her and nodded gratefully. Before the woman could remove her jacket by herself, Lex slipped behind her and removed the jacket, hanging it up on a coat rack.

''Thank you.'' the woman smiled.

''My pleasure.'' Lex bowed before the woman and turned to the family. ''Would you all like some tea?''

Lady Dimitrescu looked down at Lex, an eyebrow raised. She smirked a little smugly and was about to answer Lex until she was cut off by the woman in the purple dress.

''Alcina, be nice.'' the woman warned in a playful tone. Lady Dimitrescu looked down at her, her hand on her chest as if she were offended.

''I'm always nice.'' she said sarcastically.

''Nice nice. Not bitchy nice.'' the woman clarified. Lex was shocked beyond belief even if she didn't let it show. If she had talked to Mother Miranda or any of the other Lords like that, she'd be hanged, drawn and quartered or even sentenced to something worse.

''You're tying my hands dearest, but fine.'' Lady Dimitrescu looked back at the white haired woman. ''Yes, we would like some tea.''

''As you wish.'' Lex turned to walk further down the hallway, not going to the basement. When Lady Beneviento had given her a tour of the house, she was shown the kitchen on the first floor, which was rarely used since the Dollmaker frequented the lower level.
