(A/N: Happy New Year!)
Lex's eyes slowly started to open. She was a bit cold and was laying on her back. She tried to reach over for Donna, but her arm was caught on something. Her eyes fully snapped open as she looked to her arm. It was restricted by thick metal restraints. Lex started to panic and she tried to break free, but she felt so weak and her eyes were heavy. She tried to shout for Donna but her throat was so dry that it hurt for her to even breathe and when she moved her lips she could feel parts of them splitting open.
A door to her left opened with an ear shredding squeak that seemed to scratch her brain. Slowly she looked towards the door and her eyes went wide. Walking towards her was a woman with long, bright blonde hair tied in a bun and a long white coat. Her piercing blue eyes locked with hers as Lex's heart started pumping.
''You're finally awake, that's good.'' Mother Miranda spoke, leaning towards the restrained woman. Lex wanted to run, every inch of her body screamed at her to run away or fight back. But she was just too weak. She couldn't even feel the beast inside of her trying to claw its way out of her.
The neat, blonde woman flashed a bottle in front of Lex. Her peripheral vision began to blue as she follow the bottle with her eyes. Her heavily chapped and crack lips parted slightly as Mother Miranda popped open the bottle, holding one of the capsules between her thumb and forefinger. The blonde woman just watched Lex squirm under the restraints slowly. ''You want this? Do you remember the last time you had this? Do you remember what this does for you, Alexandria?''
Lex gave a weak nod of acknowledgment. She didn't know why this was happening again. She distinctly remembered going through these wretched experiments for an entire year. She had already played this part of Mother Miranda's game, so why did she have to go through this again?
Mother Miranda waved the capsule near Lex's lips, taunting her with it. She tried to move towards it but wasn't able to get to it. The capsule was just barely an inch away from her lips.
Her heart beat only once when she suddenly felt something wriggling up her throat. As much as she could, she turned her head to the side and an inky mass of black and red spilled from her throat. Her mouth was wide, trying to get as much as the mass out as she could. Her heart was pounding, chills prickled her skin and her muscles snapped painfully tight. More mixtures of red and black continued to spill from her throat.
''Please!...'' she managed to gasp out while a white-hot burning erupted from under her skin. Tears poured from her eyes due to the beyond agonizing pain. Her chest heaved with each strangled breath she drew in which only caused her more pain. ''Please!... M-Make it stop! Make it stop! Mother M-Miranda!''
Mother Miranda just looked down at her. A sadistic smirk on her lips as Lex's deep, throat shredding cries filled the empty air around them. Finally, when she saw Lex's limps shaking violently and her chest on the verge on convulsing she placed the capsule in Lex's mouth. The woman desperately swallowed the capsule down painfully, her throat raw from the screaming she had done.
The pain that had plagued her body disappeared without a trace in a matter of moments and her muscles relaxed. Sweat rolled down her brow as she took in shaky, deep breaths. Her vision swam in and out of focus. She didn't want to go through this again. She didn't want to be near this woman anymore. She just wanted Donna. All she wanted was for Donna to hold her.
Mother Miranda leaned towards her, placing her hand against Lex's sweat covered cheek in a tender, loving way. Lex didn't want this woman to lay another finger on her. She just squeezed her eyes shut and tried to imagine the gentle warmth on her cheek was Donna's hand.
