I stood in front of my dresser mirror, putting my hair up for the day. We were getting a large party at the Leaky Cauldron today; I was trying to remember if the reservation said reception or not. I went downstairs and unlocked the doors.
So many tired wizards and witches stumbled through door before they realized what time it actually was and rushed out for work. I laughed and continued tended the bar and giving drinks to able-bodied wizards and witches (not drunk).
At around three-thirty, I started clearing them out, whether it be telling them to leave the building premises or head out to Diagon Alley or back up to their rooms, so I could start getting the tables ready for the reserved party.
At four, the reservation started trickling in. I was so thrilled when I saw they were familiar faces from Hogwarts. Rolf Scamander and Luna Lovegood were the first two to arrive and they greeted me happily.
"Hannah! I didn't know you worked at the Leaky Cauldron!" Rolf said to me.
I smiled, "I do! Well, technically, I own it. Apparently, I was distantly related to the guy who owned it before me and he gave it to me when he died. What're you celebrating?"
Luna held up her hand and I looked at the ring on her finger. Gasping out, "You got married! Congratulations! I always knew you were the right fit!"
They thanked me and I pointed them to the table when I saw a very familiar face.
                              "Hannah?" Neville Longbottom asked me.
I stared at him, No way. He remembers me?
                              "Neville? Are you part of-?"
"Yeah. I was a groomsman. Felt weird with Anthony standing next to me as Rolf's best man."
I smiled and stared over at Rolf and Luna, who were talking quietly to each other; eccentric and happy as ever, "They're truly in love, aren't they?"
"Yeah." I heard Neville move his head as his neck rubbed against his collar, "Sometime tonight, do you want to join us?"
"I have to work." I informed him.
                              "I'm aware, but-"
"Neville. If you want to talk to me at all throughout the party, just come over and talk."
Neville smiled and I pointed him over to the table. I couldn't believe it thinking back. Neville Longbottom, the boy I'd been obsessed with in school, remembered me after all these years. I was extra bubbly for the rest of the day.
