Porpentina Esther Goldstein is the leading lady in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. She is a badass character who doesn't have a need to hide behind a man. If anything, Newt- the leading man AND Tina's love interest- hides behind Tina. But Tina wasn't just born independent and amazing.
Part of this might be due to her parents dying, leaving her and Queenie alone, but as you all know, the girls were taken in by their grandparents.
So where did Tina get her ideals from? Well, here it is.
Her best friend.
That's right. Quinn Smith. Quinn is someone who never thought herself lower than anyone, because she had a little brother who thought the world of her. He thought she was a hero. She had to live up to this image. She was his hero and she imprinted on Tina's life quite a bit.
