MYSTIFYINGCHAPTER SIX
The Slug Monster Escapes
╚════ ∘◦ ☆ ◦∘ ════╝LUNA WAS CURRENTLY trying to process everything that Dustin had shared with her. Apparently the town of Hawkins was much more fucked up than she could have ever imagined. From disappearances caused by fictional monsters, evil government labs, a girl their age with super powers, slug like creatures turning into giant human flesh eating killing machines, and a constant fight for survival not only for themselves but for the town itself.
Oh, and let's not forget other dimensions. Suddenly she understood why Dustin told her to bring her weapon with her, it was very clear that she would need it to fight whatever the fuck was harming this town, a place that had become her home in many different ways in just a few days.
"Wait a sec." Steve said breaking the silence that was filling the car, after Dustin had explained everything neither of them really knew what to say for about 15 minutes of driving. "How big?"
Dustin leans forward, "First it was like that," He showed them the length of the slug with his hands, "Now it's like this." He said stretching his hands out far to show that it was indeed very large now.
"I swear to god, man." Steve mutters, "It's just some little lizard, okay?"
"It's not a lizard." She and Dustin said at once.
"How do you both know?" Steve questioned.
"How do I know it's not a lizard?" Dustin asked.
"Yeah, how do you know it's not just a lizard?" Steve queried.
"Because I know what lizards look like and he looked more like a slug."
"Because his face opened up and he ate my cat." Dustin replied stunning Luna and Steve into silence.
Luna turned forward with wide shocked eyes and fiddled with her fingers, nobody spoke for the rest of the car ride.
After a little bit of driving Steve pulled up to the driveway at Dustin's house and parked his car. Luna unbuckled herself and climbed out of the car, she followed Stevr and Dustin to the trunk and she raises her brows feeling impressed by the fact that Steve just pulled out a bat with nails pounded into it.
"Nice." She says to the taller dark haired boy.
Steve shrugged, "It helped alot when I needed it, decided to keep it."
