CHAPTER TWELVE Keep The Kids Safe ╚════∘◦☆◦∘════╝
LUNA WAS IN THE backseat of Billy's car with a bag of ice placed against Steve's temple. After grabbing supplies and her bow and arrows they hauled ass out of the Byers household and she rushed the kids into the car. However, since she was making sure Steve didn't die from his injuries somebody had to drive. And well, she prayed that her driving lessons with Max were enough to get them to the tunnels without ending in a fatal crash.
With Steve knocked unconscious she automatically lost the vote of getting the kids to not try and help, she stopped fighting them all begrudgingly and the plan was set in stone. As she was glancing at him since his head was in her lap she gasped when she noticed he was slowly waking up, his eyes were flittering around the car before they landed on Mike.
"Nancy?" Steve slurred.
Mike pulled a bitch face before shaking his head and watching Max drive the car as safely as she could, meaning, not very safely. She noticed Steve going to touch his very bruised up face but she pulled his hand away.
"That's not a good idea, Stevie-boy." She muttered as she held his hand down. He then turned to Dustin who was sitting next to her.
"Hey, buddy..." Dustin said gently, then he shushed him like a child. "It's okay. You put up a good fight. He kicked your ass, but you put up a fight. You're okay."
Luna rolled her eyes, "He only kicked his ass because he cheated, Billy grabbed a plate which pretty much got Steve exactly where he wanted him."
Steve groans in her lap, then he removes the ice from his head as he looks forward where Lucas is giving Max directions to the underground tunnels. "Make a left on Mount Senai."
"What's going on?" Steve questioned which made Max turn to him.
"Max, eyes on the road!" Luna snapped making her sister turn back to the road.
"Oh, my god!" Steve exclaims getting slightly riled up.
"Steve, just relax." Dustin tells him.
"I give her driving lessons, she's fine."
"You said you give her driving lessons in parking lots." Mike retorted.
"That still counts!"
"Oh, my god!" Steve continued to say despite their assurances.
