CHAPTER ELEVEN On The Bench ╚════∘◦ ☆ ◦∘════╝
EVEN THOUGH LUNA was confused about the girl who just walked in, it seemed that the others knew exactly who it was, besides her own sister of course. She looked over at the group and dropped her bow and arrow once she saw the recognition in their eyes, some of them showed disbelief like they couldn't believe what they were seeing.
But there something familiar about the look in Hopper's eyes, it was the same look her father gave her whenever she and Max would sneak out of the house and go see their dad.
The look like he didn't expect to see her again after so long.
Mike crossed over to the girl, "Eleven."
"Mike." She responded softly, then the two of them joined in an embrace.
Luna's eyes widened as she put her arrow back into her quiver along with her bow after that. She turned to Steve, "That's Eleven? The infamous telekinetic badass Eleven who flipped an entire truck?"
Steve nodded, "Yeah, everyone thought she was gone but apparently not."
Luna let out a breath, "Whoa."
"I never gave up on you." Mike said as he pulled away but held the girl by her arms, she wasn't surprised by his behavior considering Dustin did share that Mike had an obvious thing for Eleven before she disappeared. "I called you every night. Every night for—"
"353 days." Eleven cut him off softly, "I heard."
Wow, that is commitment.
"Why didn't you tell me you were there?" Mike questioned, "That you were okay?"
"Because I wouldn't let her." Hopper said as he stepped forward making Mike turn back to him as he shuffled back a bit. "What the hell is this? Where have you been?" He asked the dark haired girl.
"Where have you been?" Eleven asked him, then the both of them joined in an embrace.
"You've been hiding her." Mike accused him. And suddenly the look he had in his eyes made sense, Hopper had been a guardian to her the entire time she was thought to be gone. Luna's eyes widen in surprise when Mike shoves Hopper, "You've been hiding her this whole time!"
"Hey!" Hopper retaliated as he turned to Mike and grabbed his wrist, "Let's talk." He says sternly, then the both of them walk down the hall and enter one of the rooms. Luna hears Mike screaming angrily at Hopper before the door shuts drowning out the sound, just barely though.
