MYSTIFYINGCHAPTER TWENTY
Operation Child Endangerment
╚════ ∘◦ ☆ ◦∘ ════╝SITTING IN THE back room every day during her shift was becoming a normal thing for Luna nowadays. She was with Dustin, Steve, and Robin as the younger boy tells them about what he figured out about the Russians. After yesterday and the code Robin cracked, it became very clear to them that the Russians were somewhere in the mall shipping packages for secret materials.
"There's a keycard that they use to the underground part of the mall." Dustin explained, "That keycard opens the door, but unfortunately the Russian with this keycard also happens to have a massive gun as he guards the door. Whatever's in this room, whatever's in those boxes, they really don't want anybody finding it."
Luna let out a breath, this was really sounding like they were all stuck in a spy movie and that the Russians were the bad guys that they were after.
Robin shakes her head, "But there's gotta be a way in."
Steve blows into his hat before dropping it, "Well, you know..." he places his arms on the table and leans forward, "I could just take him out."
Robin's brows raised, "Take who out?"
"The Russian guard." Steve replied.
Luna nibbled her lip as flashes of Billy beating absolute crap out of Steve came to her mind. Steve did not have a good track record since she met him on fighting with people. And she really did not want to see him all bruised and bloody again, before when she first saw him she was just worried as a friend... but imagining him getting hurt again?
She'd be horrified.
She shakes her head quickly, "No."
"What? I can sneak up behind him. I knock him out, and I take his keycard." He shrugs, "It's easy."
Luna gives him a pointed look, "No, Steve. It won't be easy."
"Did you not hear the part about massive gun?" Dustin asked.
"Thank you." Luna replied gesturing to the younger teen of the four.
Steve turned to the younger teen, "Yes, Dustin. I did. And that's why I would be sneaking."
"Ah, well, please, tell me this, and be honest." Dustin started, "Have you ever actually... won a fight?"
