As they rallied up the horses, Olivia could feel Spencer's eyes on her. She fought every bone in her body from looking back at him. One way or another, she had to say something, but fear captured her desires. Her heart needed to be protected, and she needed to be certain she was ready to even consider another relationship. Especially with him. She'd be lying if she said she didn't want him, because deep down she did. She's always wanted him, and they were here, many years later, a second chance brewing.

"Spence", she starts to say something, anything, but before she had to chance to do so, Dillon and the other guys approached her.

"Took you two long enough" Dillon grinned like a chesire cat.

"Thought you two might have stopped off for a quickie in the woods" Spencer glared at his brother, but of course, that didn't bother Dillon, hell nothing really did. It's better to leave him on read or ignored.

"& there I was thinking all the James men had stamina. Guess that makes you the weakest link" She shrugs hopping onto shorty. The irony was impeccable.

"Just be sure you ride shorty nice and hard, and not letting the ride become too bumpy" Dillon smirked like he was reading her thoughts.

"Ass"

"Hey, I've been called worse" Olivia heard Spencer's chuckle, sticking her tongue out at Dillon.

"Very mature you two"

Spencer laughed before slapping shorty's butt, causing him to jerk and rocket forward. The barrel racer in her came to life at that moment. She leans forward, allowing the speed of shorty to flow through her. Her heart rate picked up with every step Shorty took. She gave herself this moment. The wind whipped her long black hair back and forth, with her wide smile, and her eyes finally seeing the world again. They approached the tree line, and she remembered that's there no way in hell she can get past there. She turned shorty, returning him to Spencer and Dillon. Her chest heaved, and it felt so good. Liberating.

"Nice effort on the horse's take off" She smiled coming up next to Dillon.

"You've forgotten I know how to ride"

"Not even, I just figure that by piece by piece, we'll get our cowgirl back"

"This is as back as I'm gonna get"

She looked at Spencer as he sat on his horse, appearing intoxicating, and taking her breath away. His confidence and ease showing through his presence. His eyes didn't stray from hers, making her feel like she was the only one in his universe and the world that existed. For once, Dillon was mute, or it was possible they just didn't hear him. Right now, all that she could see, hear, and felt was Spencer James. She didn't know how she managed to resist him, if she wanted to, if she should, but being here right now told her what she was going to do. She thinks he knew it too.

"Well" Dillon clapped his hands loudly.

"I'm headed up to start, you know...working. You two enjoy your silent staring contest and bring up the group from the back. Victor and I will take the lead" She drew in a breath nodding.

"Ready?" She asked Spencer. Rather than giving an response, he moved forward.

"Throw the ball, Liv. What's the worst that could happen?"

"You hurtin me"

"I won't do that again"

"Not purposely, but you don't know what the future holds" Spencer lets out one short laugh.

"But I do though. I know that any part of my future will have you in it. When you came back into town, my world settled, and calmed, eliminating all the chaos. You were always meant to be part of my life, I just wasn't ready then"
