"It was fun" Olivia looks at Spencer who was standing on the bottom step. She felt silly but couldn't stop smiling and grinning. Last night was perfect. He was sweet and like a gentleman, like she remembered. She wasn't worried about the debt she was still trying to pay off or the fact that she was thirty-five, at home with her parents. She was Olivia, an woman who'd been through hell and back, who was finding her legs again. She wasn't curling up wanting to die along with Jadyn. There was something to be said on that, and she deserved to be happy again.

"Glad I came"

"I'm glad you did too" She smiled.

"I'll stop by tomorrow to check on the twin's horses"

"Stop by the office when you do" She bit down on her bottom lip, feeling like a teenager all over again. Spencer climbed the steps, slowly.

"I will, you can bet on that"

She took a step back, not cuz she didn't want to be close to him, but more so of how much she wanted to be. Her twins could be anywhere around the property, and she wanted to keep all of this between her and Spencer. People realize they're together again, she won't hear the end of it. She's had enough of that to last two lifetimes. He kept advancing, while she retreated.

"See you soon, then" She walked backwards, going along the path until she bumped into the screen door.

"Bye, Spence" The deep sound of his laugh filled her heart.

"Bye, Olivia" Once she was on the other side of the screen, she waved again, and he winked. She closed the door pressing her back against it. This was bound to be impossible, feelings that had been six feet deep were back up to the surface. She remembered how special he made her feel. When he would look at her like she was the only person that mattered, it was exhilarating. She took a few breaths in, attempting to collect herself. Before she could fully come back, the twins flew down the stairs.

"Ma!"

"Hi, boys!" She says with a shaky voice. She glanced back one last time, hoping to see him, but he was gone. It scared her that she wished he wasn't.

"How was camping?"

"You see a bear?"

"Coyotes or a fox try to eat you?" The boys rattled off with questions, as she shook her head.

"I missed you two"

"We were having too much fun away from you to miss you Ma" Zayden says with all the honesty in the world. Jayden laughs.

"Thanks so much" She grins. Jayden shrugged.

""Uncle Jordan is fun, Ma"

"He pulled my hair and hid my dolls" She tried to sway them.

Zayden rolled his eyes. "And?"

"And, he's an pain"

"Whatevs" Jayden dismissed her.

"Is Spencer coming over today to help train black lightning and thunder?"

"No, Spencer just went home"

"Aww" they whine in unison.

"You can ask grandpapa to help you train black lightning and thunder" She suggests. She still couldn't get over the names they picked for their horses. She shouldn't be shocked, considering last month Jordan found his old comic magazines and let the twins get ahold of them. Since then, that's all she really hears about. Argument over whose horse was going to be faster was more than enough to make her ears bleed.

"Hi, honey" Laura saved her this time.

"Hey Momma"

"You have a good ride?" she asked handing each of the twins an cookie from her stash, also the worst kept secret too.
