Kia did her best to get Olivia's mind off of things, though nothing seemed to be working at this time. They danced, but her head spun in circles about how easy it was for her to tell him. How good it felt to be in his warmth, presence, and his arms. Her heart did backflips and stomach nauseous at the thought of how effortless it would be to allow herself to go back there with him. He was the boy who taught her everything she knows about love. The boy she wanted to grow old and grey with, having babies, and he destroyed her in every way a love could ruin you.
"Having fun yet?" Kia asked slightly out of breath.
"Ohhh, tons" She smiles at her. Truth be told, she just wanted to find a hole to crawl into and cry until she was blue in the face. Much as she hated that she told Spencer, it hurt her even more knowing she said it in the first place.
"You're an lie and a half sis"
"Maybe an little bit" Kia rested her head on Liv's shoulder.
"We can leave"
"No, it's good. We can stick around a little while longer. Besides, your man is coming this way"
The man Kia has been eyeing the whole night asked her to dance. Olivia thought it was funny, and cute, because she knew she didn't really like the man, but she also knew what moving on from an James is like. Lord be with her on that journey. Olivia looked over at the dance floor where Spencer had Layla in his embrace. Olivia imagined herself as Layla in that moment with him. The way his body felt on hers, the ridges of his chest, smoothness of his skin and torso, strength of his arms, and how he could make all your pain disappear with one touch. When they were young, he washed all her worries away. She was never scared. She loved that so much about him. This was also, the worst part when it came to losing him, uncertainty. Witnessing him share that with Layla was really hard. Did she know the kind of person he was? The big heart he possessed? How much better of an person he is compared to her? His heart was warm and filled with love while hers was made out of ice and stone. Her eyes opened to see him watching her. Her breathing stopped as they shared something in that stare. All she felt was his regret, and all she gave him back, was her forgiveness. She slowly turned away, hoping to break the deep connection, but it felt as if her heart was no longer in her chest.
I got this.
I'm not fallin for him, again. No, I'm drunk, not thinking straight, not in my right mind.
Unable to stop herself, she glances back at him. He shot her a smile, then looked back at Layla as she turned to glare at Olivia. Olivia got up and headed back to the bar stand. She didn't care to witness their lover's quarrel.
"Sounds like trouble in paradise" The bartender smirked handing Olivia her next drink.
"Hell if I know" Olivia shrugged nonchalantly refusing to look in that direction, but she was positive he was speaking on Spence and Layla. An laugh fell from his mouth.
"Lemme give you the play by play. He's not pleased with us talking" Enrique gripped her hand, leaning in.
"Let's give him an little push" His hand brushed across her lips, and she feared he'd kiss her.
"Just go with it bonita" He murmurs. She closed her eyes slightly turning her head so that he couldn't actually kiss her. When she opened them, Enrique whispered,
"He just pushed Layla away"
"I-I don't" There wasn't anything she could say to even begin to express what she felt right now. So many damn things rolling through her head and mind. She glanced at them, the pissed stance on Layla's face clearly visible. She quickly turned her head, while Enrique's lips smirked.
