Monday January 3rd

Monday came before she knew it. It was finally time to return to the prison that her parents sent her to everyday. She dreaded this moment if we're being honest. She pleaded her parents to let her stay one more week. Of course they said no. Was she upset? Yes she was but she knew they meant well. Right?

Andi dragged herself in the school, making her way to her first hour class. When she walked in, everyone quickly turned their heads to her. "Hi Alessandra!" Her teacher cheered. "Welcome back!" She nodded and went and sat at her desk scrolling through her phone until the late bell rung.

She looked around for her girlfriend but she never saw her. To be honest neither one of them had any type of conversation from each other since the New Years party. She was nervous because the last time this happened between the two something bad happened. "Alessandra do you have the work from when you were absent?" Her teacher said snapping her out her horrible thoughts. She dug into her backpack and pulled out the folder and gave it to him.

Just then Drew walked into the classroom fairly quickly and sat in her seat with her head down. Andi looked confused at what was happening and chose not to bother her until it was time for small talk. Every once in a while she would look back at her to rub her hand in comfort. Drew grabbed her hand and kept it back there with her, which she didn't mind at all. Soon small talk had came about so Andi moved the both of them to a corner of the room to be alone.

"Hey what's wrong? What's going on?" She asked her softly as she tucked pieces of hair behind her ear. Drew mumbled something which Andi couldn't quite hear. "What?"
"My dad." She said again.
"What did he do?" Drew sat up and looked at her. Her eye was swollen and the colors of the rainbow appeared around the black and blue spot. Andi was speechless although her anger build up inside of her. Andi pulled her closer to her and traced the outline of the spot, making Drew flinch as she did.

"Sorry," was all she said. It was all that she could say.
"It's fine."
"No it's not fine. Why did he do it?"
"I don't wanna say." She mumbled and then put her head back down before anyone saw.
"Was he drunk?"
"No."
"Why did you come to school?"
"I didn't want to stay there. I couldn't stay there." At this point she was silently crying and shaking in the seat. Andi walked over to the teacher and asked if they could go to the bathroom really quickly. Their teacher was a little confused at first but when she slightly explained the situation he agreed to let them go.

Walking in they both went to the biggest stall and locked the door. Drew went over and sat on the floor in the corner. Andi went over and joined her. Drew was still crying and shaking and honestly Andi wished there was something she could do but once the cries started turning in gasps for air she knew exactly what to do. "Hey, hey you're getting yourself worked up." She said calmly. "Follow my breathing."
"I-i can't."
"Yes you can." She grabbed her hands and pulled her into her embrace. As soon as she did that, Drew started fighting against her. "I'm not gonna hurt you." She whispered. "I just want you to calm down."

Drew still tried to get away from her unfortunately. "You're gonna hurt me too. It's what everyone does. So let me go!" She tried to stop herself from crying but that just failed. "Baby look at me."
Drew stopped fighting but didn't look at her. "I'm not gonna hurt you. I love you and right now I just want you to calm down. You're safe with me."

The bathroom was a fair share of quiet. All you heard was whimpering and heavy breathing. If anyone was to wall in, they'll probably think the two of them had just done the deed but that wasn't true. "Are you ok?" Andi spoke up. Drew nodded, although it wasn't a positive nod. The bell rung indicating that class was over. "Let's go."
