"No need."

There was a comfortable silence between the two. Drew watched as Andi was able to get control of her actions and clam herself down, feeling overwhelming proud of her in a way as well. Soon Andi's phone chimed, breaking the concentration. When she picked up the phone there was a message from someone sh didn't expect.

Sophie

Happy birthday! :)

Thank you!!

Ur welcome

Wanna get ice cream with me and the others??

Sure why not. Time??

In like the next 30 minutes. Same fro-yo place as always

Ok see you soon

See you

Andi placed her phone down.

"Ands?"
"Hmm?"
"Did...do you mean what you said?"

In the hallway, the 3 other sneaky teenagers were trying to make their way into the room. Wanting to surprise the birthday girl, they had a bunch of her favorite snacks and a couple shirts and hoodies. All wrapped up in a big bag, which said "16" all over in glitter. Ultimately knowing that they were going to fail, they tried it anyways. "Wait!" Whisper yelled Kaylee.

"What?"
"Listen."
They all pressed their ear against the door and listened.

"Yea." Andi said nervously, fidgeting with her fingers. Drew went silent for a moment, which made a knot form in Andi's stomach.
"No. Never mind. Forget I said anything." She spat out and then got up to go and get her clothes. "Andi."
"No it's fine. Forget I said anything."
"Andi!"
"No."
Drew got up and pulled Andi close to her, smashing their lips together.

The both of them felt like they were in heaven. Like they could hear the angels playing the trumpets and singing the holy high notes around them. The both of them released for each other's lips and rested their foreheads, trying to control their breath. "Will you listen to me now?"
"Yea." Andi nodded.

"I was trying to say, was that I love you too."
"There's a but I can feel it."
"But, I don't want to rush into anything. Especially considering your fresh out of a relationship."
"So?"
"Take some time. Refresh. And we will see where we are. Sounds good?"
"Sounds amazing. But can I...never mind."
"What?"
"Nothing let's dressed."

Two out of the three nosey teenagers outside had tears running out their eyes. Izzy looked as them confused, "Why are y'all crying?"
"They care about each other."
"And they finally admitted their feelings."
"Let's go downstairs." Izzy whispered and they all walked down stairs.

"Do you think they kissed?" Kaylee asked, texting her cousin for her to hurry up.
"They definitely did."
"Did who kiss?" Danielle asked walking into the kitchen placing her dishes down on the counter. The other three girls went quiet quickly.

"If y'all mean Andi and Drew then I'm not surprised honestly."
"What?!" Kaylee shouted. "You were more freaked out when you found out Andi and Sophie locked lips!"
"Yea true." She now joined them in the living room.
"So what changed?" Kamryn asked wriggling her eye brows and a light smirk appeared on her face.
"Something about these two are different."

"I like being different." said Alessandra as she gracefully walked down the stairs. Wearing her birthday shirt her moms had made for her. A pair of light blue jeans and white converse complimented her outfit as well.
"Happy birthday!"
"Thank you." Andi looked into the bag and placed it by the stairs.
"Have fun girls!" Dani said and then they left.

"We heard y'all." Kaylee whispered. Andi and Kay were falling behind the others as they walked to the fro-yo shoppe.
"What?"
"You and Drew. We were listening." Andi's face went pink. "I'm happy for y'all."
"Thanks."
"You know, she's right." Take some time for yourself. You need it."
"I know but you know that's hard for me."
"I knows. But you can do it. It's not that hard."
"It's just gonna take a while for me being used to being on my own."

"That's what happens when you confide your whole life in one person."
"Ok I was in one toxic relationship. I get that."
"FYI, you were in two."
"He does not count!"
"He does too!"
"8th grade Kaylee! We were 8th graders!"
"Anyways, I really hope you end Drew work out."

"We're just taking it day by day."
"That's good. Y'all locked lips didn't you?"
"To be fair, she locked mine."
"Shut up! No way!"
"Only because I told her, I love her and then tried-"
"Wait. Hold on. You said 'I love you'?!"
Andi nodded.
"Like friendly or?"
"No like, 'I wanna spend the rest of my life with you' love you."

Before they realized it, the group had finally made their way to the fro-yo shoppe. Sophie was sitting on the inside waiting on the girls to show up. "What is she doing here?" an annoyed Kamryn asked.
"I'm invited her. Now be nice." The 5 of them all walked in and then walked over towards the table Sophie was sitting at.

"Happy birthday." She said and reached in for a hug, handing her the little gift bag that contained her present.
"Thank you." And then they all went to enjoy their evening.

"Hey? Sweetheart can you hear me?" Andi groaned as she tried to sit up. "No. Stay down. Your alright." She looks around the room and noticed everyone was backed away to give them space. Her vision going in and out, her head pounding loudly, she stayed there on the ground. Everything started to black out. "Hey she's seizing again."
