Chapter 16: Date Night

Friday, November 12th

Andi slowly crept downstairs to make sure her parents were watching tv. She had decided that the best way to either thank her parents or just give them a break from reality, was for them to go out tonight. Alone with out two kids bugging them all day. As soon as she saw them downstairs, wrapped up in each other's warmth on the couch, Andi rushed back upstairs to finally get everything ready and settled. And definitely not falling down on a building block in the middle of the floor.
"Got damnit Mason!" She hissed under her breath and continued to walk her way upstairs.

"Mason you ready!" She asked him as she walked into the bedroom. He had his pencil and paper out ready to write down and plan everything. He happily nodded with the biggest grin on his face. Holding up a thumbs up afterwards. "Alright buddy let's do this."

"Alright, so step one is finding out where they should eat at." Andi explained to the boy as she searched the web for different restaurants to go to.
"McDonalds!" He called out playing with his stuffies.
"That's a good start. If all else fails they can go to McDonald's."
"Yayy!"
"What about this nice restaurant? It's an Italian restaurant. Even though mom is Italian and is probably gonna criticize every little detail."

She showed him the pictures on her phone. He looked at each picture carefully. Examining every little detail of it. Once he was done, Mason plopped back down on the floor and looked up at his sister. His eyes squinted tightly and his bottom lip poking out as far as it could go. Andi stared at Mason, as he continued to stare at her. The both of them now having a full on staring contest. "I like McDonald's better." He huffed and pouted, crossing his arms. 
"What if me and you went to McDonald's? Would that make you better?" Mason aggressively nodded.

"Alright they can go there for food. What should they do after?"
"Cufdles!" He called out again. Andi stared blankly at the boy knowing that if they had the night alone, there weren't exactly gonna be cuddling going on. "Bubbas obviously they're gonna cuddle. But they need something to do after they eat. What about a movie?"
"I like movies!"
"I know you do. So movie it is."
"Yes! Can we watch monster 1 sissy?"
"Yes we can."

Andi got up off the floor and picked Mason up along the way. She threw him up in the air slightly before catching him and throwing him on the bed. She grabbed the remote and turned on monsters university before the both of them got under the covers. As Mason watched the movie, Andi was on her phone making reservations for her parents at the restaurant they chose and to get them tickets to go see a movie of their choice. By the time she was finished with everything, it was almost time for them to start getting dressed.

Andi found her way out of bed without waking her brother, and made her way downstairs. Both of her moms still cuddled up in each other's warmth. Danielle was asleep on Stefania's shoulder and Stefania looked to be watching tv but as Ands got closer and closer to her, Stefania was out like a light. She had to take a picture of the two, to show them later. So they didn't deny anything. "Hey guys." She said as she lightly shook them awake. Stefaina quickly shot awake and Dani slowly woke up.

"What's up bubs?" Danielle said as she stretched her arms up in the air.
"I have...well Mason and I both have a surprise for you guys." She happily said. Maybe a little to happily.
"What is it?" Stef questioned her daughter who kept jumping up and down as she stood there facing them.
"We made you guys dinner reservations and I bought you guys movie tickets to a movie of your choice."
"Aw thank you bambina."
"Thank you bubs."
Both parents got up off the couch and gave her a hug. "Now you might want to go get dressed. Your reservations are in like 30 minutes." She chuckled. Both parents took off upstairs to their room and the teenager went back to make sure her brother didn't fall off her bed.

"What are you wearing babe?" Stefania asked as she searched the closet for things to wear. Danielle was laying down on the bed watching as her wife searched the closet.
"I honestly don't know." She said in a raspy tired voice.
"You sound really tired bella." Stefania walked over to the sleepy blonde and tucked a piece of hair behind her ear.
"I am. A good nap sounds good right now."
"I know but the kids did this for us. We can't decline this probably once in a lifetime offer."
"I know. I never said I wasn't gonna go, I just said a good nap sounds good right now."
"Come on bella. We need to leave in probably less than 10 minutes."
"I'm coming, I'm getting up now."

Danielle slowly got up from the bed and went into the closet to grab an outfit. Danielle decided to go with her simple green dress with white flowers on them. Stefania decided to go with her black dress that had red flowers on them. "You look radiant!" Danielle exclaimed.
"You look amazing as well bella."
"Shall we go downstairs now?" Stefania nodded in response to her question and both women made their way out the room and downstairs. When they got there, the two kids were on the couch playing with each other until Mason saw them. "Pretty!" He yelled and took off running to them.
"Ok I see. My moms out here flexing on us." Andi smirked.
"They my mommy's too." Mason pouted and snarled at his sister.
"I'm sorry Ma. I mean our moms are out here flexing on us." She said sarcastically. Stefania shot a serious look at her which made Andi instantly regret he decisions.
"Ok time for you guys to leave. Mason and I, will be here having fun and just enjoying each other's company."
"You sure you don't need someone to come and watch you guys?"
"Mom I got it. We're good, right bubs?"
"Yes!"
"Alright guys. Have fun! Call us if you need anything."
"I will. You guys have fun as well. Bye!"
"Bye!"

Stefania and Danielle had got in the car and pulled out the drive way. Andi had sent them the address to the restaurant so they put that into the GPS. The drive was about 10 minutes away from the house. The drive was a slow quiet ride full of comfortable silence. Danielle slowly reached over and grabbed Stefania's hand, intertwining their fingers. Stefania looked over and blushed hardly. Even little things like this still make her smile and get butterflies in her stomach.
"I love you." Danielle whispered softly.
"I love you more bella."
"Hmm...that's debatable."

"COME BACK HERE YOU LITTLE SHIT!" Andi yelled as she chased her brother threw the house. He continued to run around the living room naked as his sister was yelling at him. Andi had just got him out the bath and when she turned around for one second to grab a pair of shorts for him to sleep in. When she turned back around he was gone down the hall. Now they were in the middle of the floor fighting over clothes. "Be still please." Andi groaned and instantly regret this idea.
"Mason Rae Savre-Spampinato!" She yelled. He instantly stopped what he was doing and faced his sister. "Be still for me please."
"I sowwy sissy."
"It's ok. Just let get finished with dressing you and then we can do something. Ok?"
"Ok."

After that, Andi was able to peacefully dress her little brother. "There you go. Now what movie do you want to watch?"
"Cars!"
"Ok cars it is. 1 or 2?"
"Both?" He asked with his head titled to the side. Andi thought about it for a while and why not stay up late.  "Sure bubs." The two year old started jumping up and down in a circle. Andi walked into the kitchen and pulled out a frozen pizza to put into the oven for the both of them. Once the oven pre-heated and she put it into the oven, Andi made her way to go get some blankets and pillows. "Sleepover in the front room?"

He nodded and so the two got their things and set up little piles on the floor so they weren't just sleeping on hard floor. Just then the pizza timer went off so she walked in the kitchen. Andi grabbed the oven mitt and pulled it out. "Alright bubs we're gonna let it cool down a bit and then we can eat ok?"
"Ok sissy."
