3rd person's POV
Year 3345
Final year examinationGroup 94:
Izuku Midoriya (L)
Katsuki Bakugo
Shoto Todoroki
Eijiro Kirishima
Denki Kaminari
Hitoshi Shinso"Aw, man! I hoped we had a girl in our group this year! Such a bummer." Kaminari whines as he slumps down in his seat, frowning to himself.
"Come on Denks, can you stop thinking about girls for a single moment in your life?" Mina questions, laughing heartily as she walks towards him, her arms around his shoulder.
"You know me, Ash," Kaminari says with a wink making her grin widely. She harshly pulls him away, a tight hold on his bright yellow-coloured suit, just like hers.
Both of them march to the cafeteria as Mina starts talking about her crush and how they were in the same group. Just then, they both pass by a blond with spiky hair, grumbling under his breath.
Kaminari notices him and stifles a laugh, he nudges Mina to look over who giggles softly. "I hope I didn't get someone like that angry pomeranian in my group" Denki comments, before walking away.
"Who the fuck are these extras?" Katsuki mutters to himself, scanning over the copy of his group members' names in his hands. His orange suit beautifully contrasts with his hair, making him look highlighted in the entire cafeteria.
Just as he was about to leave, he hears a loud noise from the table behind him. A boy with shark-like teeth and spiky red hair was laughing, his voice was booming in the entire cafeteria, irritating others around him.
"I don't want someone that cheerful in my team. I would go deaf in minutes." Katsuki mumbles, walking away with a harsh grip on the paper, almost tearing it.
"You got that right! Yeah!" Kirishima roars with laughter, his hands repeatedly banging against the table in excitement. They were joking around when all of their group papers swooshes into their hands neatly.
"Woah- who are these people, I have no idea who they are..." Kirishima whispers to himself, all his friends collectively sigh seeing no recognisable names.
Not even a second later, another piece of paper flies between them, narrowly missing Kirishima's right eyebrow. He immediately turns around to find the paper land in the hands of a purple-haired boy.
Kirishima eyes him in a judgemental way, thinking how he looked anti-social. He could only pray he didn't get someone like him on his team. They would never suit each other anyway.
"I seriously don't give a fuck about my teammates, you know?" Shinso murmurs, aggressively rubbing the remaining sleep off his eyes only for them to betray him and droop into a sleepy stance.
"This is your final exam. Don't mess it up, you won't get another chance." The professor, his father, yells at him before chucking a piece of paper at his face. He scowls at Shinso before leaving.
"Whatever" Shinso yells back, mocking his father's accent as he walks away.
He hears a mob of people crowding in the hallway, he lazily turns around to find Shoto Todoroki, Endeavour's son walking in. He irritatedly clicks his tongue, "Such a rich brat. Hope someone like him isn't in my team."
"Did you hear that Shoto Todoroki was out into the last group for the final examination? Must suck to wait for hours. I wonder who his teammates are, I wasn't lucky enough." An endless amount of whispers could be heard as Todoroki walks by.
"I just saw my group number, how does everyone else know before me?" He mutters to himself, striding down the corridors as fast as he can, his white suit looking ethereal on him.
"He walks across a lawn where people were studying or chatting with their friends. His eye catches a green-haired boy, jumping around crazily with his group paper in his hands, shaking it nervously.
Todoroki eyes him weirdly, "I hope someone as crazy and weird as him didn't end up in my team."
"It's okay Izuku, you got this, no matter what, you can do it." Izuku encourages himself, slowly opening the piece of paper in his hands and skimming through it.
"Oh my god! I got it! I got the leader post!" Izuku jumps in excitement, his bright blue suit flapping with him. He nearly kisses the paper before remembering where he was and moves away.
What's happening here-
In a few days, these seven people would be put in a fake spacecraft, in a limited space area, and would have to solve all the tests and problems set by the board members.Centuries ago, aliens invaded earth, in a friendly way. Soon, everything around started evolving with both human and alien technology. Travelling from one planet to another became easier. Students from other planets started coming to earth for studies and vice versa.
This particular university, called U.A. conducts a physical exam during the student's final year. It's usually taken pretty seriously, preparations for it starts more than 9 months earlier.
Izuku is one of the only humans who managed to pass until his final year, not a lot of humans can, seeing how strict and tough the university is.
He hasn't been to too many planets, he once visited Mars with his mom for a vacation around two years ago. He once also had the chance to visit one of Saturn's moons for an education trip with his classmates.
He is a little nervous, seeing that he might have to travel a lot once he graduates and gets his license. He studies Spacecraft Engineering. As a soon-to-be-engineer, he is pretty knowledgeable about the structures of a spacecraft.
Izuku is hardly like an average boy of his age. He doesn't like going out and prefers staying in all the time, probably immersing himself in books. He spends a lot of time with his mom for which he had been teased at school.
He thinks he isn't that handsome, just average looking, doesn't have any specific talents and is just boring in general. He isn't interested in relationships either, making him even more of an outcast.
But he's happy to be himself. And that's all that mattered.
Author's note:
The prompt for this story is based on a Taekook story I read (no longer officially on Wattpad) and literally every other space-related movie I saw.
