Andromeda Nebula [Bakudeku]

Chapter 8

A small Bakudeku filler chapter!

3rd Person's POV

Thankfully Kirishima was being able to communicate with the people in Aeëtes! Apparently they spoke some other language which the others didn't know how to spell and Izuku thought it sounded like Chinese.

But when they asked about the currency, the reply they got was.. confusing.. Kirishima said what the mean literally translates to tokens.

As in.. like an actual game token.

A brochure was handed as soon as they stepped into the planet boundaries, away from the landing pad.

It had every language there was in the universe, you get to choose your preference! To Izuku's surprise, it even had Japanese and many other earth languages!

"Welcome to Aeëtes, the living arcade. You get to play games and win tokens, the mode of currency. Cheating, residence and robbery is against the laws and could be taken as a serious offence.

Enjoy your day!"

Kaminari gasps as the robot explains before pulling the others away to play games. He's awesome at them anyway.

They all then slowly seperate away, they could still contact each other with their tablets after all.

Izuku starts with chess. A random person was sitting on the other side, cracking his knuckles with a smirk. Izuku smiles at his confidence.

Katsuki snorts seeing Izuku play nerdy games but surprisingly sits next to him, watching the match. He wasn't allowed to help, it's against the rules, but.. Izuku was just good by himself.

Just as the other person looses his queen, he starts cursing in his own language making Izuku and Katsuki try to stiffle their laughs.

After loosing the queen, he couldn't do much, he lost both his rooks and knights. Finally Izuku had cornered him and put in a checkmate, making him and Katsuki punch the air in excitement.

The man who lost groans loudly before walking away and getting Izuku 10 tokens who takes them generously and skips away with Katsuki walking with him.

"That was fun! My mother doesn't play chess with me anymore cause she loses all the time.. I haven't played chess in a couple years." Izuku says, a small smile on his face when he looks at Katsuki.

"I don't think you will have to worry about that anymore. I'm the best at chess. We should play together sometime. I bet you would lose to me." Katsuki says with his usual playful smirk.

"Oh yeah? Bring it on Bakugo!" Izuku replies just as playfully.

Soon, the pair is walking around, playing random games, losing a few too. Katsuki wouldn't leave until he wins, repeatedly playing the same game and losing tokens.

Yet, they had fun together and Izuku didn't try to stop Katsuki from trying, besides they could earn it all back in just a few games.

"Oh! Katsuki, do you dance?" Izuku questions, eyeing the dance machine excitedly.

"Yeah I do. Do you?" Katsuki asks back, already walking towards it and getting ready.

"Nah. I'll watch you dance though."

Just a second before the song started to play, Katsuki pulls Izuku too, surprising the younger. He can't leave now!

This was another rule in Aeëtes apparently, you can't leave mid game. If you do, you will lose all the tokens in your account, accepting defeat.

"Ughh fuck you Katsuki. I can't dance, we're just gonna lose tokens." Izuku grumbles, awkwardly moving to the slow beat, a warm up song.

"It doesn't matter if we do. I lost a lot too." Katsuki chuckles, the music already pumping through his veins.

Izuku hardly moves, just waving his arms around and flapping them. He gave an occasional sway to his hips but kept his leg movements minimal.

Whereas Katsuki, was dancing so good! Izuku could hardly get his eyes off him. Unlike Izuku, Katsuki didn't care about who was watching, he let the music guide him.

His movements looked effortless and enjoyable, unlike the time when Izuku was forced to dance in his first year when he thought it was too difficult.

Katsuki seemed to.. let the music flow through him.

"Just let go and dance Broccoli, don't think about others." Katsuki yells over the loud music, looking over to Izuku who was staring starry eyed.

"I can't!"

"Of course you can! Don't give a fuck about others, okay? Just dance."

Izuku slowly let's go of his insecurities, getting more confident in his steps. His movements still looked stiff and not co-ordinated at all, but.. he had fun dancing.

Katsuki laughs heartily watching Izuku go crazy with his moves in minutes as he joins him too, aggressively bopping his head to the beats.

"Fuck my legs feel like noodles" Izuku whines, walking out while Katsuki waits for the tokens to pop out.

"Already? You didn't dance that much."

"I never danced before, don't blame my legs okay?" Izuku grumbles, trying to standup on his own and failing (miserably).

He falls right on his butt, wincing. Katsuki laughs loudly as he offers a hand to pull Izuku up.

Izuku pouts softly, nevertheless accepting the offer and picking himself off the floor, walking around with a slight difficulty.

Izuku and Katsuki soon find the rest of the group, playing some games just a few feet ahead of them, with a lot of tokens dumped in Shinso's hands.

"Why aren't you playing Shinso?" Izuku questions walking over to them and collecting the tokens from Shinso to keep it safely.

"I'm not that good at games so they said the only job I could do here is be the makeshift bag for their tokens and that's what I've been doing."

Izuku giggles at Shinso, making the purple-head smile as well.

"Yeah! Fuck yeah!" Denki screams in victory, repeatedly slapping Kirishima's shoulder who has his head down in defeat.

"Fine fine whatever Kaminari." Kirishima grumbles slightly embarrassed as he walks away, to find a new game.

Kaminari laughs loudly, following him. The others too trail behind, letting Katsuki and Kaminari play the most.

Soon it was time for shopping and spending the tokens! First up, Kaminari and Kirishima should take a bath.
