3rd person's POV
Katsuki was wandering around the school hallways, giving mean glares to people who stare his way. The exam was the very next day and everyone was busy getting ready and talking with their teammates.
He hears a ring, a very loud rock song playing from his arm, everyone around him look his way with a glare. "What? Mind your own fucking business. Fucking dumbasses."
He swipes up the screen, and a green translucent hologram pops up in front of him, with the caller id. 'Izuku Midoriya from Engineering'. He didn't know who it was until he notices the profile picture.
He doesn't pick up the call. He simply cancels it and continues walking. Within seconds, he could hear the annoying ringing. This time, he simply ignores it.
"Katsuki fucking Bakugo. Don't you fucking dare cancel my call?" Katsuki groans, turning around to find a hologram of Izuku floating above a drone.
"What the fuck do you want broccoli?" Katsuki asks, turning away. He sighs when he watches the drone fly in front of him, forcing him to face the hologram.
"You would've known if you picked the call, idiot. We are in the conference room, come over. And don't you dare ignore this, I'll come all the way and drag you if you do."
The hologram pops down with a click. Katsuki grumbles about something, clicking his tongue in annoyance. He looks up to see the drone waiting for him.
"Ugh, fucking fine. I'm coming."
Katsuki enters the conference room, just a small air-conditioned room with a small round table and 5 chairs around it. There were more of these in the University and each team is assigned one.
He snorts seeing Kaminari hanging upside down with black whips tightly wrapped around him. Todoroki follows Katsuki's gaze and sees Kaminari before sighing.
Izuku looks up after hearing the sigh. "Oh, Bakugo. Fucking finally, come in. Also don't mind Kaminari, he wanted to see how long he could stay without losing consciousness."
Katsuki chuckles softly before settling down. "What are y'all doing?"
"Quirk analysis. You are the only one left." Kirishima chimes, excitedly pointing over to Izuku's notebook.
"What's your quirk Bakugo?" Izuku asks, taking a new page with his name written on the top. Katsuki lets out small explosions from his palm.
The others stare at it while Kirishima whistles. "Explosions? Okay. What is your range of destruction?"
"Range of destruction? Do you expect me to whip out a measuring tape while I'm practising?"
Izuku glares at him, a small black whip dancing in the air, right next to Kaminari. Katsuki slowly gulps before muttering,
"Around 3/4th of the practice ground. I don't know how big it is." Izuku nods absent-mindedly, writing a small note to check out the distance of the practice ground.
"Okay. Any side-effects? Does your quirk hurt you in any way?"
"Anger issues. If used for a long time then slight burn marks. It's difficult to use in cold weather." Izuku yet again nods understandingly.
"How does it work? Why is it difficult to use in cold weather?"
"My sweat has nitroglycerin. Which naturally makes it explosive. I can't use it in cold weather 'cause I don't sweat much then."
"Does that mean you're always sweaty?" Kirishima asks, Katsuki looks at him and sighs before nodding.
"What was your score in finals Bakugo?" Todoroki questions, preening over Izuku's shoulder to look at his notes.
"97%"
Kaminari makes a guttural noise from the back is his throat. "Am I the only dumb person here?" His voice comes out strained.
"Kaminari, I feel like you would pass out any moment now. Do you wanna stop?" Izuku asks, sliding his notepad towards Todoroki before looking up at Kaminari.
"Yeah, I feel the same."
Izuku softly lets him down. It takes Kaminari a few moments of wobbling before settling back down. "That was.. a nice experience.."
Izuku looks at him wearily before continuing to make small notes on pages, sketching something.
"Um.. are we done here?"
"Oh, right yeah sure. Bye. Make sure you sleep well and eat well today." Izuku says, not looking up from his notebook. Everyone soon scrambles out.
Katsuki starts grumbling under his breath about how the whole point of the meeting felt useless to him. "Is anyone of you free right now? I need to submit a few papers to Aizawa Sensei and do some work." Izuku asks right before they leave.
Kirishima and Kaminari have classes so they excuse themselves. Shinso looked like he could use a couple of hours of sleep. Shoto needed to get back home for some special training with his father.
"You have no other choice Bakugo. Stop grumbling." Izuku states just a few minutes after they start working. Katsuki looks away from him.
"I wanted to ask... What was the fight about you and Shinso yesterday?" Izuku asks, clicking his pen close and snapping his notebook away.
"Why do you want to know that?"
"As the leader of the group, it's my responsibility to understand the hardships faced by my members. Both physically and mentally."
"My ex-girlfriend cheated on me with him," Katsuki grunted.
"You had an ex-girlfriend?" Izuku questions before he could stop himself.
"Why? Do I look like someone who can't be in a relationship?"
"What? No. Kaminari was joking earlier that you were probably gay." Izuku explains.
"I'm bi. He's half right."
"Right. Anyway, what Shinso did was awful. But I hope it doesn't affect you two during the exam. If it does, then I'll have to take serious action on it. I'll talk to Shinso about it too."
Katsuki nods absent-mindedly. "You seem like a nice person Bakugo. I get the fact that you get angry because of your quirk's side-effect. But I hope you get better control over it."
"I'm trying." Katsuki grunts, dropping his head onto his arms on the table.
"I can see that. And I appreciate it," Izuku says before walking out of the room. "You can do whatever you want, I'll finish everything by myself."
Katsuki walks away with a slight smile etched on his face. No one's ever said that to him. He never expected someone like Izuku to say that in the least.
