3rd Person's POV
"Were you guys being able to find nitrogen here?" Kirishima asks, just a few minutes into their conversations.
"Nah, we couldn't really find much especially because nitrogen is mostly found in a different compound, you know. Those compounds are present in the soil usually.. but, the soil here is artificial.. I doubt we could find nitrogen, more specifically liquid nitrogen." Shinso mutters dejectedly, sighing loudly as he melts into the couch.
"Will it be useful for us if we find it in compounds? Because we could still extract nitrogen from it, right?" Kaminari asks Todoroki, who was reading a book.
"We can do it, scientifically speaking, but those compounds are tightly bond together, so its practically hard. We can convert gaseous state of nitrogen into liquid form, but it takes a lot of time and effort actually. I think we should ask Alice if she knows about this." Todoroki says, snapping his book shut as he walks over to her.
"Hey Alice.. do you guys have nitrogen in here?" Todoroki asks, as Izuku claps his hands excitedly, he had completely forgotten about it, he got a little excited when he realised Alice must have known about it.
"Nitrogen? what's that?"
"It's um.. an element usually in it's gaseous form and is used by plants! They need nitrogen to live." Katsuki awkwardly tries to explain, rubbing his nape softly when he realises Alice couldn't understand even then.
"Oh you mean oxygen! We call it oxygen and yes it's found here-"
"No no no! We have oxygen too, we didn't mean that. Nitrogen is a completely different element..." Kirishima vaguely explains.
"If only we had a little nitrogen to help her see it now..." Kaminari whispers to himself, sighing loudly.
"Oh my god Kaminari! You are such a genius! That's the best idea! Bakugo! You have liquid nitroglycerin in your sweat right? Could you show her a small sample so that we could make her understand what it is?"
Alice walks over to Katsuki, her tablet in her hand to scan the molecular structure of the compound. Since she hadn't heard about it, there was a chance that they have a different name in this galaxy.
Alice thoroughly scans the compound and tries starts trying to match them with other learnt elements
"Oh wait- We got a perfect match! It's called Pnictogens here, commonly denoted with Pn and I'm sorry... but it isn't found in our planet, Mr Yoichi banned this element because it is said to have destructive tendencies.
But it's highly available in the planet next to ours! Called Hugene, I'm not sure if you heard of it, but it's the volacanic planet."
Everyone's face pales hearing that.
"It's the one where AFO rules! You guys noticed the metal covering outside our planet, right? It's actually because of this element since Pnictogens is highly inflammable, the gas from Hugene easily spreads across the galaxy."
"That's not possible Alice, have you seen how huge this galaxy is? Air can't just float around anywhere it wants, it's not possible." Kaminari snorts.
Alice walks over to him and flicks his forehead, "Of course I know that, I'm a robot remember? But... Hugene explodes once in a while, even though it hadn't for nearly the past decade, nitrogenous rocks and materials often float over to other planets and collide against them.
Since Lyria is very near to Hugene, there had been a lot of instances when it happened in the past, those places are still open for tourists attractions! So when Mr Yoichi started building this ecosystem, he first made sure to have a protective sheild above our heads so that this doesnt happen again."
"It's a protective sheild against Hugene? But weren't Mr Yoichi and AFO good friends and possibly in a relationship? What happened so bad between them that it led to having literal shields over their heads?"
"We dont know..."
Izuku picks up his phone, his eyes slightly widening seeing the date before he remembers and sighs. "So what is the speed of time here again?" he asks, rubbing his eyes tiredly. he hadn't slept in a couple days...
"Every planet here has somewhat of a relative time when compared to earth, they all hardly have a couple minutes difference. If we avoid staying in space for too long, then I think we can make it back to earth on time for the sophomore's graduation." Katsuki states.
"So... what are you guys planning? I've never heard of Pnictogens except in Hugene. But isn't it too risky? Like AFO could kill you in a snap and then you might never be able to go back to earth." Alice mutters thoughtfully.
"Gee thanks for the encouragement Alice." Kaminari mumbles, rolling his eyes sarcastically.
"I'm only trying to warn you Kaminari, Hugene is a dangerous place I dont want you guys going there to be honest, but I understand that it's necessary, so if you do, I just want you guys to be as careful as you can." Alice sternly says, pointing at Kaminari strictly.
"We understand your concerns and thank you for them, but as you said earlier, we might not have to do this Alice. There's hardly any choices but Hugene, but I really hope we don't have to go there." Izuku says confidently, "But for now, I'm sleepy, can we do this tomorrow?" he asks sheepishly, rubbing his eyes.
Everyone else chuckle at him, "Of course Midoriya, we all are kind of tired too, let's meet tomorrow morning, that is according to earth, and start planning."
Alice manages to get them 3 different rooms and volunteers to go back to her facility because she was running out of battery and desperately needed to charge. Todoroki didn't look too happy about it, but he knew they had to do it.
"For now, everyone go choose rooms in pairs! Alice got us 3 rooms." Kirishima exclaims, excitedly waving the keys above his head.
"Me and Kaminari get a room, the one in the last left. Todoroki and Shinso get a room, the one opposite to ours. Then Bakugo and Midoriya get one, the one next to theirs." Kirishima yells, grouping them up.
They all walk to their designated rooms, too tired to have any opinion on Kirishima's grouping system.
