3rd person's POV
Izuku's eyes slowly tear up, the reality slowly, but strongly settling in. He heaves out a huge sigh, softly wiping his eyes.
"Thank you for the help guys, I'm so grateful we got out of that planet. Do you think he died?" Izuku questions, looking up at Todoroki who shrugs at first.
"All for one? Probably." Kirishima answers, leading Izuku to the control panel.
"Oh- Midoriya. I'm sorry I took over the control panel without your permission but I had to-" Kaminari awkwardly starts, quickly getting off the captain's seat.
"Uh- no, it's okay. Could you probably- you know, have control until I get changed?" Kaminari excitedly nods, sitting back down with a huge smile on his face.
Izuku couldn't help but crack a smile in response. He never really took much time to understand his teammates. He tried. He sure did, but didn't pay attention towards their interests and passion.
Izuku always had a feeling that as a leader, he knows the best. Probably not everything, but he thought he knew his teammates the best, he thought he came up with the best plans, but that wasn't always the case.
He expected Kaminari to be bad a driving, because honestly, it wasn't his department. Izuku was taught how to do that, he just assumed so.
But now he realises, Kaminari is so good at driving! His driving is stable, not as much as Izuku, but quite good for someone who hasn't had any formal education on it.
He thought Todoroki was emotionless. As in, he doesn't let his emotions take over him. Izuku thought he was logical and calculative, but the fight changed his opinions.
Izuku thought Shinso was manipulative, especially because of his quirk, but as time passed, he realised that's not the case. In fact, Shinso could be manipulated easily!
Katsuki was... Well, the best thing that happened to Izuku during this entire voyage.
He seriously couldn't have asked for anything better. Katsuki was perfect in all ways, at least to Izuku.
His thoughts cloud over Izuku's mind, steering him away from his focus as Izuku reaches the med bay, hoping nobody would be there.
"Hey broccoli." Izuku hears a croaked voice, from a few feet away.
"Kacchan? Hey, wha- what are you doing here?" Izuku immediately questions, his eyes welling up with tears as his chest tightens.
All he could do was hope it wasn't a dream.
"You were worried, weren't you?" Katsuki starts, his hands reaching up to cup Izuku's cheeks tenderly.
"Of course I was! You- you looked so- as if-" Izuku stutters, his voice trailing off as tears slowly run down his warm cheeks, soon turning into a full on sobbing.
"It's okay, I'm here Izuku. Don't worry, okay?" Katsuki continues, pulling Izuku closer to him and hugging him tightly.
Katsuki was hooked up to an oxygen mask and an IV was carefully fixed to his wrist, resisting its movement.
"What happened to you?"
"Lost too much blood, and that bastard with disintegration quirk got me a little, a few parts of my skin is flaked, but nothing to worry about." Katsuki explains with a smile, soothing Izuku who looked pretty shaken up.
"But- am I dreaming? Because- you weren't breathing, Kacchan! I was so worried and- and I didn't know what to do!" Izuku hastily whispers, his hands tightly clutching onto Katsuki's hand.
"Of course not, dummy. Like I said, I lost too much blood, happens to people from Venus, our blood is thicker and less when compared to you, but I'm alright, don't worry."
Izuku let's out a few tears in relief, letting Katsuki wipe them off after clicking his tongue.
"Promise me you would never leave me?" Izuku whispers into his hands, kissing them softly, especially the flaked parts.
"I promise Izuku. But don't kill me if I can't keep it up because- you know, the future is uncertain." Katsuki finished off in a mumble, giving an apologetic smile.
"How's uh- how's Alice?" Katsuki then questions, his face falling to a frown, when Todoroki walks in, checking his IV.
"Fried." Todoroki replies, surprisingly. He had already gotten back to his normal nonchalant self, now that the adrenaline rush has come down.
"Fried- like, will she be okay?" Katsuki immediately questions, trying to sit up on his injured hand, wincing in the process.
Todoroki harshly pushes him to the bed, sternly commanding him to not move if he wanted to get out of the bed in a few hours.
"She should be, just needs a little tinkering and replacement and she should be back to good as new." Izuku shrugs, still staring at Katsuki.
Katsuki's mind stops for a second.
"Tinkering-?"
"Yeah cause she's a robot, dummy. Did you forget that Kacchan?" Izuku questions, controlling his laughter as he teased Katsuki.
"Oh." Katsuki finally let's out, relief comfortably setting in as he finally relaxed in his bed.
"But, I'm not sure how much I'll be able to help. She has her own personality, like the one from when she was living, right? I know she didn't have major injuries in her head so we should be fine." Izuku explains, slipping out of his spaceship and already heading towards the control panel.
Not without a kiss to Katsuki though.
"Alice?" Izuku questions to the others, who point towards the dining room. Izuku then walks away to get all supplies.
"To be honest, the fact that she's a robot slipped off my mind at that moment, you know." Kaminari starts, sighing as he gives them a sad smile.
"It was like that for everybody. I couldn't function honestly, I felt like ripping all of their throats off. I think you must've been very angry, Todoroki." Kirishima answers, chuckling at himself as he rubs his face.
"I was. After so long of being together-"
"Which was hardly a couple days." Kaminari intervenes with a chuckle as Kirishima shushes him.
Todoroki ignored him, "I couldn't let myself believe, you know. I know she could protect herself but the guilt feeling was bad. Good thing she's a robot, I guess."
