(Y/N)'s pov:
I was walking around the huge study room in Dylan' s house. I don't know why but somehow this time we ended up for our group discussion in Dylan's house. Days were passing by like fast clouds and before I could decipher it, most of the superhumans had gathered. Alex was back to complete our small gang and surprisingly he came along with Stacy. He was too disgusted by the fact that he kept on ranting about her nonstop appearances in his life. He was a pilot by profession and she happened to be his flight attendant. It took two days for me to stop laughing at that fact, with Alex cursing me every now and then. Much to my dismay, Alice was the one who found a large group and led them here. I was myself occupied with work as my one month leave finished quicker than expected.
I passed through one of the rooms and spotted Alice with Yuta. Even though I wanted to eavesdrop, I left that place and came to this room. Dylan was among the big pockets for sure. Although he doesn't work every time, he gets a good fortune from his father who owns a flourishing business. No wonder why he lives in such a luxury home. The room was filled with books of all sorts that picked my interest. As I was looking through few of them, I heard the door open.
Pretending I didn't care about anyone's presence, I continued looking through the books. "I met Alice. She confessed to me for the 89th time and I rejected her for the 112th time." Yuta spoke up with looking proud and disgusted aat the same time, as he walked towards me. I looked at him confused. Why did he even tell it to me out of the blue?
"I never asked" I asked, but my voice came out as slow as a whisper. He chuckled when he heard it.
"Funny isn't it? Even though I don't have my powers right now, I can still read your mind." he said as he walked past me to the desk at the end of the room. I didn't reply but just stood there awkwardly. Behind the desk were few trophies and medals, placed in a clean manner. Yuta picked up one of them which made me think if Dylan would go crazy because he touched it. They both never talked after the had a fight. They don't even stay around each other often.
Few minutes of awkward silence passed by as we both were busy trying to ignore each other's presence, until Yuta spoke up. "Also I wanted to tell you...." I turned around to look at him but saw Taeyoung who was now standing by the door. Yuta didn't seem to have noticed his presence as Taeyoung made no noise while entering in. If I hadn't turned around, I wouldn't have noticed him too.
"About that book you gave me...." Yuta continued after a pause, still not aware of Taeyoung's presence in the room. My eyes widened after knowing what he was referring to and the last thing I wanted now was for Taeyoung to find it. "Don't be too much stressed out about it. I know its-"
"Taeyoung!!" I cut him off and Yuta whipped his head towards our direction. He looked like he was afraid Taeyoung might have sensed something wrong.
"Why are you stressed out over a book?" Taeyoung asked as he diverted his attention from Yuta to me. I could say I was trembling but I maintained my composure.
"She lent me a book few days back. She wasn't satisfied with the ending...so....." Yuta helped me but couldn't find an excuse himself.
"So I was stressed out because there is no news about the release of a second part to it.... Yeah!" I spoke in a hurry but Taeyoung's expression showed suspicion. He then raised an eyebrow at me.
"When did you both get so close to share a book?" he asked in a questioning tone, leaving us unanswerable again.
"Budding romance? I can give advice." Ten's head popped through the door which startled Taeyoung. He pushed in and stood beside Taeyoung with a cheeky grin plastered on his face.
"Chittaphon Leechaiyapornkul!! You aren't even experienced!" Yuta commented at the boy which made him snicker. Fortunately there were two doors to the study room, so I slowly made my way out through the unoccupied one, leaving them bickering behind.
Everyone else outside were packing up some stuff. I swear they looked like they were going on a picnic. "How many left?" I heard Xiaojun asking from the corner of the room, standing beside Alex and helping him pack a huge bag.
"Two more." I turned around to find Taeyoung coming towards the living hall from the study room. "I've already found their location and contacted them. They'll probably be arriving by tomorrow." he said.
"What's all this for?" I asked, clearly unaware of the scene playing in front of me.
"For our adventure." Jason beamed. The look in his eyes were filled with determination, I doubted if it would last any longer.
"I've packed in as much snacks as I could." Alex said soon after, patting the huge bag in front of him. Yuta and Ten came out of the room, still bickering but stopped once they saw us discussing.
"Loads of snacks and water. Check! Emergency lights and lighters. Check!" Doyoung had a note in his hand as he ticked the said things. He continued saying out loud, few more stuff which went unnoticed by me as I was busy thinking about how we would reach the Cave.
Once Doyoung was done, he gave a thumbs up to Taeyoung, indicating everything was set. "Alright. The last two superhumans would arrive tomorrow. One day is enough to tell them about the information we gathered, and that job would be taken up by Haechan." Taeyoung said, pointing to the said boy, who did a dramatic bow.
"So..... We leave the day after tomorrow.
