it's been 2 weeks
3 days away from homecoming
the boys had been busy
making signs for homecoming to ask the girls out
...except jeonghan, he would be receiving one-
and practicing hard for their football game that they would play against the rival school JYP high school
the girls had been busy as well
cheering the boys on from the stands at practice
and awaiting a homecoming sign
...except farwa, she would be the one making one
hajra, jay, sana, beomgyu, farwa, jeonghan, afeefa, jake, and laila all got along together as a group in the past two weeks
shabeela and vernon would sometimes tag along
they got closer as well
sana and beomgyu finished their music project together
laila and yeonjun did it separately and just turned it in together
laila didn't want it to be awkward seeing as she rejected him
she did see some change in him though
he started playing guitar more openly and didn't care for what people said
he still played football though
they had a game and he couldn't just ditch his team
shabeela also got a little closer to joshua as well in the last 2 weeks
he had apologized and asked to be friends
she said no at first
but he asked another 2 times
she finally agreed
they were good friends

all the girls were at sanas house after school
farwa was on the floor making a home coming sign
"guys homecoming is 3 days away and none of us got asked out yet" hajra said
"well i wasn't expecting one so..." laila said
"didnt you say you and jay would just go together without a hoco proposal or nothing??" afeefa asked hajra
"yeah but i didn't mean it, i expect him to still ask me out" hajra said rolling her eyes
"then tell him?? are you dumb??" sana said confused as to why hajra won't just communicate with her boyfriend
"oh shut up i bet you're waiting for beomgyu to ask you out" hajra clapped back
afeefa laughed
"i know you're not laughing afeefa, you want jake to ask your crippled ass out so bad" sana said rolling her eyes
"MY ANKLE ISNT EVEN SPRAINED ANYMORE!?!?" afeefa said
"ok how's this guys?" farwa said holding up her sign for the girls to see
"the letters are crooked" hajra said
"needs more glitter" sana said
"the colors are freaking ugly" laila said
"you spelled homecoming wrong" afeefa said
all the girls gave their honest opinions
"yeah make it better" jeonghan said
all the girls whipped their heads to sanas room door where jeonghan was stood
"WHERE TF DID YOU COME FROM" hajra yelled
"WHO LET YOU IN" sana asked
"shabeela did" jeonghan said as shabeela walked in
"what did i do?" shabeela said
"you let me in" he said
"ya cause you wouldn't stop banging on the door" she replied
"nuh uh i knocked nicely the first 2 times" he said crossing his arms
"NOT EVEN WHAT DO YOU MEAN" shabeela yelled
they started bickering
the girls laughed
"omg you're gonna be even later to football practice than normal" farwa said
"wooowww you're trying to get rid of your boyfriend" jeonghan said offended with his hand on his chest
"yes i am, now go you have a game in 3 days" she waved him off
"ugh ok, but make the sign better" he said as he ran off
"that guys everywhere" afeefa said
"shabeela have you been asked out yet" sana asked
"who me?? who's gonna ask me out" she said
"idk?? like vernon or joshua or someone" sana replied
"nooo we're just friends" she said
"you loser" sana said

yeonjun was talking to joshua on the field
they had been planning on how to ask out laila and shabeela
it had to be good enough for them to say yes
"ok so about the mariachi band..." yeonjun said
"omg you're still on about that?" joshua said annoyed
"yes omg it would be so good" yeonjun said trying to convince joshua
the two boys argued over the mariachi band
yeonjun just thought of something then
"OMG WAIT SCRATCH THE MARIACHI BAND IDEA I KNOW WHAT I CAN DO INSTEAD" yeonjun said so excited
"OKAYYY??? WHAT" joshua asked now excited
"ILL PLAY THE GUITAR FOR HERR" yeonjun exclaimed
"OMG THATS GREAT" joshua said
"...i just need beomgyu to help me out a bit" he said hesitantly
"ok can i have the mariachi band then..." joshua said
"WHA- YOU JUST SAID- ok go" he said

practice was over
joshua headed home
he searched up baking recipes
hopefully she likes chocolate cupcakes... he thought
he set all the cupcakes in a box and wrote on them with frosting
the cupcakes spelled out "homecoming?" with a letter on each one
he looked back at them and smiled proudly
hopefully she says yes he thought
he planned on asking shabeela out tomorrow morning

yeonjun was at home
he called beomgyu over
he needed to learn a song in one night
he planned on asking her out tomorrow
beomgyu came over
it was kinda awkward
they hadn't seen each other for a while
"so...you want to learn a song?" beongyu asked when he arrived
"oh ya, i just learn really fast with you so i called you over..." yeonjun replied
yeonjun sat on his bed with his new guitar that he bought
beomgyu sat with his own guitar to teach yeonjun
beomgyu strum a note and yeonjun would copy
they did this for an hour or two
yeonjun finally got the song down
"so how are you and sana?" yeonjun asked curious as he got up to put his guitar away
"oh us?..." beomgyu pauses for a bit wondering if yeonjun would be okay with hearing about them
yeonjun noticed beomgyu pause
"hahaha it's ok you can tell me" he nudged him
"oh well, we're just friends right now but..." beomgyu paused once again
"...but what?" yeonjun asked
"but i'm planning on asking her out for homecoming, she said she wanted to go just as friends but i wanted to go with her more than that" beomgyu said without pausing this time
it was quiet for a second
only a second
but beomgyu felt like he overstepped and gave too much information
yeonjun then spoke
"omg good luck!" he said
"g-good luck?" beomgyu said confused
he didn't expect yeonjun to be so excited for them
"um yeah? don't worry dude she'll say yes i can assure you!" yeonjun said
"how can you be so sure?" beomgyu said feeling anxious, he felt like sana would decline
"i see how she looks at you...she likes you trust me" yeonjun gave beomgyu a reassuring smile
