shabeela was about to speak when vernon spoke instead
"what's with the mariachi band dude...it's a bit much don't you think? you're trying too hard" vernon said demeaningly
"what about you? all you have is roses, maybe put some more effort" joshua said back
the two boys argued and just wouldn't shut up
the mariachi band still played their music
shabeela couldn't take it

"LOOK WHAT YOU DID" joshua yelled to vernon

"omg you guys suck, you both got rejected" jeonghan said covering his mouth trying to hide his smile
"is this what you meant by a show?" vernon said angrily while remembering what jeonghan said earlier

he followed after shabeela
"do we still get payed" the guitarist of the mariachi band asked

"omg i can't believe she just took off like that" farwa said
"ya maybe she was overwhelmed" sana said

jay walked up to them

"yaa i heard shabeela rejected two people at once" he said

just then they started hearing a guitar play
beomgyu recognized the song
it was the one he practiced with yeonjun
"another homecoming proposal?? what horrible timing" laila said
"uhhh laila" afeefa said tapping on laila's shoulder to turn around
laila turned around and saw yeonjun
he was stood on a chair with one foot up on a table
guitar in hand
he started to sing
"ohhh lailaaa won't youuu go to homecoming with meee 🎶"

"you taught him that?" sana said feeling a little betrayed
"i mean- yeah he said he needed quick guitar lessons" beomgyu said unbothered

"guys stop fighting in the middle of laila's homecoming proposal" farwa said shushing them
sana stepped a few feet away from beomgyu
beomgyu just crossed his arms
yeonjun started coming down from the table and walked towards laila still playing the song on the guitar
he strummed the last note and looked at laila and her eyes that he loved so much
