Keya crooked her eyebrows and moved her eyeballs from the people around her who were acting weird. She cleared her throat finally when no one made any attempt to start the conversation. "Ma, you are looking creepy and it's making him uncomfortable," She said.
Jaiden kept looking down awkwardly but pressed a smile. Keya's mother chuckled. "He is cute and he reminds me of my old days when I used to crush on his father. He looks just like him," Her mother said again while smiling slyly. Keya sighed hopelessly.
"Your daughter is back home after two years. Don't you want to meet her?" She asked. Her mother rolled her eyes and looked at him. "I don't get to see a Bollywood star sitting in my living room every day," she said and smiled while moving her gaze back to Jaiden.
"Your name is Dev, right?" She asked again. It took Jaiden with surprise but he nodded. "You know?" he asked while looking up at her again. She laughed and nodded slightly.
"Of course, I know everything related to Anand Khanna and his family. I searched everything," She said and smiled. "You really are sounding creepy like a stalker," Keya said. Jaiden chuckled a little when her mother made a face.
Her father came just in time with a tray filled with snacks and drinks. He kept it in front of Jaiden as his eyes moved around the plate. It was homemade food mostly. A smile crept on Jaiden's face. "We don't know what you eat but this is what we eat here," Keya's mother said. Jaiden nodded.
"This is good," He said and smiled at Keya's mother. In that rare moment, Keya could see that genuine smile that came from his heart. He was truly happy which made her smile widely. "You didn't cook momos," Keya said with a pout while moving her gaze to her mother.
She nodded. "You just came now. I will cook it for dinner," she said. Keya smiled widely and nodded. "Will you be showing him around?" she asked again. Keya looked at Jaiden and raised her eyebrows.
"People might be around," he murmured. Keya chuckled and shook her head a little. "I know ways where we won't find many people and we can change our looks a bit, what say, Ma?" Keya asked while showing a mischievous smile. Her Ma laughed and nodded.
