When Sarah showed up with a bottle of liquor in hand, you knew it was going to be an interesting night. The three of you ate dinner before Cate made you all a drink, yours being a virgin but tasting ever so yummy. Your lover and her best friend where a little tipsy already, nearly done with their second drink of the night, but you enjoyed it. Getting to hear Cate laugh and be silly was your favorite.

Currently, you resided in the living room, having convinced Sarah that she NEEDED to make a TikTok account. You were laying down on the couch, your head on Cate's lap and your feet thrown over Sarah. You started to scroll and search, attempting to find the perfect trend for Sarah to do for her first post. You found something that could include Cate, and you sat up rather quickly, suddenly beyond excited.

"I found it, I found it, I found it," you nearly screeched, jumping up and scooting as close as possible to Sarah to show her an example.

The trend you found went to the song Waka by 6ix9ine where two people stood, doubling over one at a time on the gunshot noise, a piece of text popping up on the screen acting as the "shot."

Your brain instantly started to rack around, desperately attempting to think of an idea of for the phrases.

"Cate, you have to do it with her," you demanded.

Cate peered over and laughed, "You're funny, darling."

"I'm not trying to be funny, I'm serious," you replied, letting out a little chuckle at the end.

You turned your head to Sarah, sticking out your bottom lip, the actress catching on rather quickly. You both looked Cate's direction, putting on the show of a lifetime. You gave the cutest puppy dog eyes, batting your eye lashes.

"Please, baby," you whined, crawling back over to her and taking her hand in yours. "For me?"

Sarah did almost the same, moving to sit on the opposite side of Cate. She started to fake cry, although you're pretty sure an actual tear might've fallen.

"You guys are annoying," Cate said, bringing the cup to her mouth and rolling her eyes.

"Is that a yes?" You asked with bright orbs and a toothy smile.

She side-eyed you before removing the cup from her lips and nodding.

"Yes!" You almost screamed, both Sarah and yourself landing a kiss on Cate's cheek.

"Okay, everyone up," you commanded as you were going to be the director of this production.

You yanked Cate to her feet, grabbing her by the arms and moving her to stand in a specific spot within the living room. She feigned disgust for the entire situation, but loved the idea deep down.

"Okay, so Cate. All you are going to do, is when you hear the sound of the first gunshot and where the artist says 'boom' is fall over towards the ground. Just like this," you instructed, exemplifying the movement. "And then you stand back up."

You followed your own directions, continuing, "Sarah, on the second one, you do the same thing. But on the third one, you guys chest bump each other. It's super simple."

You showed the video to Cate and Sarah one more time before starting. The first take was an absolute disaster, Cate's "early on-set dementia" making an appearance and causing her to forget everything you had just said. On the second take, both of their timings were completely off, the third take not being much better. The entire thing was absolutely hilarious, having keeled over with laughter at one point when Sarah chest bumped so hard that Cate fell into the couch.

Eventually, the two of them got it together and produced something salvageable. Cate was so done with both of your shit. She removed herself from the living room, kissing you before going to get another drink.
