CHAPTER • 34

On the next day, Wonwoo apologized to Mingyu for what happened last night before they went to sleep. He said he didn't mean to be so much disappointed, but Mingyu said that it's okay and he understands since they've been in a relationship for years now and should've already talked about marriage. Wonwoo just told his boyfriend to not talk about it now, since their anniversary is approaching, they must be happy and not arguing.

Days passed by until it is the day of their 7th anniversary. The day when Mingyu's plan will be revealed. The plan that he's been waiting for. He's excited and nervous at the same time, but thanks to his parents for supporting and for cheering him up.

Mingyu has to leave. He told Wonwoo that there's an urgent meeting at the company, so he just gave the address to his boyfriend where they will celebrate their 7th anniversary, in case the meeting will be done late. He also told Wonwoo to be there at 6 in the evening or prior to that and to not be late since they made a reservation at the said time. Before leaving their apartment, Mingyu didn't forget to give Wonwoo a kiss.

Wonwoo decided to prepare at 4 in the afternoon and leave at 5 in the afternoon. He doesn't want to be late and be stuck in a traffic jam. It's better early than late. Before he left the apartment, he sent a message to Mingyu, saying that he took a taxi and he's on his way to their meetup place. Mingyu just replied that he as well is on his way to their meetup place. Wonwoo can't help but smile when he received a reply from Mingyu. He's excited too. He doesn't have any ideas if Mingyu has prepared something for their anniversary or hasn't, but that doesn't really matter. He just wants some time alone with Mingyu and enjoy their anniversary.

Before Wonwoo can even arrive at their meetup place, his phone suddenly rang. One of his friends, Junhui, is calling him. He immediately answered the call and asked what's up.

"Wonwoo, where are you?!" Junhui asked, panicking. That made Wonwoo worried, so he answered that he's on his way to his meetup place with Mingyu and bombarded him questions like "What's happening?", "Everything all right?", "Where are you?"

"It's about Mingyu... Today's your 7th anniversary, right?" Junhui said with a shaky voice, which made Wonwoo more worried.

"Yes. What h-happened, Junhui? P-please tell me." Wonwoo begged. Tears are already starting to form in his eyes.

"I think he got into a car accident... I don't know how bad it is, but he's already being sent to a nearby hospital. Seungcheol was the one who told me about this. I'll immediately send to you the hospital address once I receive it, okay?"

The call ended. Wonwoo's heart beating fast due to nervousness. He hopes that Mingyu is okay and nothing seriously bad happened. After a few seconds, he received the hospital address from Junhui. He then told the taxi driver that he changed his mind and just bring him to the hospital. He showed the hospital address to the driver and the driver immediately changed his route.

When he reached the hospital, Wonwoo immediately went inside and was about to go to the front desk to ask where Kim Mingyu is, but someone suddenly grabbed him by the wrist and ran with him to the elevator. It is Jeonghan who grabbed him. "Follow me." He said.

Inside the elevator, Wonwoo started asking Jeonghan questions about what happened to Mingyu. He's so worried that he couldn't control his tears anymore. Jeonghan looked at him with a sad face and said, "It seems it's really bad..."

"No... Please." Wonwoo continued sobbing with his head low. When they heard the elevator dinged, Jeonghan hopped off the elevator first when the doors opened. Wonwoo slowly looked up as he wiped his tears and realized that Jeonghan just brought him to the hospital's rooftop. He slowly made his way out from the elevator and started to look around.

Rose petals on the floor welcomed Wonwoo and saw the other decorations at the rooftop.

"Wh-what's happening?" Wonwoo curiously asked Jeonghan who's now smiling at him.

"Just walk, soon-to-be Mr. Kim." Wonwoo blushed at what Jeonghan said and just followed what he's told.

There are a lot of roses' petals on the floor. There are tables and even candles. Each table has a bouquet of flowers and picture frames. He's also surprised to see his friends, Mingyu's parents and even his parents. They're all smiling at him and noticed that the parents have teary eyes.

Wonwoo then approached the tables and looked at the picture frames. It is his pictures with Mingyu. Tears started to fall on his cheeks. "So, this is what he has been preparing? Is this the real reason why he comes home late these past weeks?" He mumbled.

Wonwoo then felt someone poke his shoulders. He turned around and saw Mingyu holding a bouquet of roses.

"How do you like it?" Mingyu asked, smiling widely.

"Kim Mingyu!" Wonwoo suddenly hugged his boyfriend tightly and sobbed.

"Why are you crying?" Mingyu asked as he tightened their hug.

"I thought you really got into a car accident. Do you know how much I was worried about you?" Wonwoo said, still crying.

"I'm so sorry about that. It's part of the plan. Even the reservation at the restaurant is part of the plan. That's not true. I just told you that. I didn't make any reservations. I'm just busy preparing this." Mingyu chuckled. "But anyway, do you like it?" He asked, caressing Wonwoo's back.

"Do you think I would hate it? I really love it, Mingyu. You really prepared this for me." Wonwoo said as he pulled out from their hug and cupped Mingyu's face, looking at each other's eyes. He then took the bouquet of roses from Mingyu and thanked his boyfriend once again. Mingyu gave him a smile and said, "I'm glad you love it."

While Wonwoo's admiring the bouquet, Mingyu suddenly kneeled down as he took the box from his pocket and opened it infront of him. Wonwoo got startled by his boyfriend's sudden action and felt his heart started to beat fast.

"I know you want to spend your entire life with me. So do I." Mingyu said with all his heart while looking at Wonwoo straight to his eyes and smiled widely. He heaved a deep sigh before asking the big question, "So, Jeon Wonwoo... Will you marry me?

"Yes!" Wonwoo excitedly answered. He's been waiting for this and didn't really expect that it will happen today on their 7th anniversary. They can hear their friends and their parents cheering after hearing Wonwoo's answer.

Mingyu then slid the ring to Wonwoo's finger and stood up to give his now fiancé a deep passionate kiss. Their friends and their parents cheered once again. Their hearts flutter as they feel that their friends and both of their parents are happy for them.

Then, they pulled out from the kiss and stared to each other's eyes, both smiling from ear to ear.

"I love you, Kim Mingyu."

"I love you too, Kim Wonwoo."
