CHAPTER • 10

Once Mingyu got home, his mother immediately looked for the proof that he really went to his sick friend. Mingyu took out his phone and showed his selfie with Wonwoo to his mother.

"See? I'm not lying."

Mrs. Kim stared at their picture. The face is new to her. It's not even familiar to her. She is sure that she hasn't seen this face before but he found the guy very good-looking.

"Uhm, who is he? Is he really your friend?" Mrs. Kim looked at her son.

"Yes, mom. He just transferred to our school few days ago and we're seatmates." Mingyu answered happily.

"You sound happy, huh? It's like you're introducing me the person you're dating." Mrs. Kim teased her son.

Mingyu felt his cheeks heated up and said, "Mom! I'm just happy I have made a new friend again and I hope he's happy, too."

Mrs. Kim chuckled and asked, "I am sure he is. What's his name?"

"Jeon Wonwoo." Mingyu smiled. "We're kind of close already even though we just met few days ago. He's so nice, mom! I just don't get why he doesn't have a lot of friends."

"Oh, that's nice. He must be really shy. That's maybe the reason why he doesn't have many friends like you." Mrs. Kim shrugged and gave the phone back to Mingyu. Mingyu then took his phone from his mother and was about to go to his bedroom but his mother said something which made him look at his mother again.

"You two look good together."

Mingyu just looked away and went straight to his bedroom. He felt something again that he never felt before. Something he felt when Wonwoo called him cute. He doesn't even understand why he feels like this.

Once he entered his room, Mingyu put his phone on his bedside table and lie down on his bed. He tried his best to sleep by not thinking anything but he heard his phone vibrated. He took his phone from his bedside table and unlocked it to see the message. Maybe it's important.

Jeon Wonwoo: Can't sleep. :(

Mingyu really wants to sleep right now but seeing the message who it came from, he's now hesitating if he'll reply to Wonwoo now or when he wake up in the morning.

It took few seconds before he could decide.

Kim Mingyu: Me too. :(

Mingyu then locked his phone and stared at the ceiling, waiting for Wonwoo to reply.

Jeon Wonwoo: I should get enough rest but I can't sleep. I didn't even drink coffee. Hahaha.

Kim Mingyu: Yeah, you should. So you will be able to come to school on Monday. :)

Jeon Wonwoo: And why can't you sleep too?

Kim Mingyu: I don't even know why. Hahaha. Something's bothering my mind.

Jeon Wonwoo: Ohh... Whatever that is, I hope you could get rid of it.

Kim Mingyu: Yeah... How do you feel now?

Jeon Wonwoo: I just checked my temperature after you left and it seems it went down.

Kim Mingyu: That's good. You're getting better.

Minutes have passed but Mingyu didn't still receive any replies from Wonwoo. He assumed his sick friend has fallen asleep. He was about to put his phone on the bedside table when it vibrated. He unlocked his phone and saw a reply from Wonwoo.

Jeon Wonwoo: I was going to ask you this earlier when we're talking here in my room but it slipped out of my mind. Do you like someone? Have a girlfriend?

Kim Mingyu: No one. I don't even have a girlfriend. To be honest, I'm not into... girls... Hahaha. I hope that's not bad..?

"I just want to be honest with you and accept me who I am."

Mingyu became nervous when Wonwoo is still not replying to him again. He thought maybe Wonwoo doesn't like a friend like him. He now regret for saying that to Wonwoo.

Jeon Wonwoo: Ohh, really? It's okay. It's not bad. I won't judge. It's your life anyway, why would I bother you? If that's what makes you happy, go on.

Mingyu suddenly doesn't want to talk about this now, so he made an excuse to Wonwoo and went to sleep.

It's Monday and Wonwoo is feeling better now, so he will be able to go to school today. He's happy to see his friends and learn new things again.

When Wonwoo entered the room, Soonyoung was the first one who greeted him.

"Hey Wonwoo! You feeling better now?" Soonyoung asked as he put his arms on Wonwoo's shoulders.

"Yeah. It's very nice to see you guys again. I really hate being sick. I'm just in my room the whole day, waiting to get better." Wonwoo said and smiled at Soonyoung.

"Yeah, that's true. That's why I really take care of myself now to not get sick. I don't want to experience that." Soonyoung chuckled.

Wonwoo then went to his seat with Soonyoung following him from behind. He put his things down and saw a small pink envelope on his desk. He took it and opened it.

"What's that now, huh?" Soonyoung asked, looking at the paper on Wonwoo's hand.

"It's obviously a letter but I don't know who it came from." Wonwoo said as he scanned the paper, looking for names but he can only see his name. No any other names.

"Are you sure the letter is really for you?" Soonyoung took the paper from Wonwoo's hands and scanned the paper.

"Yeah, it has my name on it. Look at the first sentence, 'Hello Jeon Wonwoo'."

Mingyu then came in the room and greeted his friends. He saw Soonyoung and Wonwoo is busy with something. He wants to know what it is, so he went to the two.

"Hey guys! What's that?" Mingyu asked as he approached the two and also saw the pink paper on their hands.

"Wonwoo received a love letter from his secret admirer." Soonyoung laughed.

"What's so funny?" Wonwoo asked his laughing friend.

"Nothing. I'm just happy." Soonyoung answered.

"It's only been a week since Wonwoo transferred and he got a secret admirer already?!" Mingyu said and suddenly became so curious about this. He wants to know who this secret admirer is.

"It's not impossible though. Wonwoo is really handsome. I'm sure many girls have fallen already." Soonyoung said.

"Not really." Wonwoo chuckled. "Thanks for that but Mingyu is way more handsome."

Mingyu felt his cheeks heated up again. His heart always starts to beat fast every time Wonwoo compliments him. He's going crazy feeling something he never felt before again.
