CHAPTER • 11

After classes, Wonwoo was organizing his things when a girl approached him. He looked at the girl and tried to remember her name but he couldn't, so he just spoke first before the girl could.

"Maybe she's the one who gave the letter for me?"

"Uhh, hey! Sorry I can't remember your name. It's only been a week since I transferred here. Forgive me." Wonwoo said nicely. "Uhm, do you need something?"

"It's okay, Wonwoo. I understand. My name is Kang Yebin and I just want to tell you something..." The girl said shyly.

Before Wonwoo could speak, Soonyoung and Seokmin approached them.

"Sooo, you must be Wonwoo's secret admirer?" Seokmin asked the girl.

"You're pretty! I'm sure he'll like you." Soonyoung said and laughed with Seokmin.

"Stop it, you two. You're embarrassing her." Wonwoo told the two.

"Oohh, now you're defending her? You are something, Jeon Wonwoo!" Seokmin teased Wonwoo but Wonwoo just ignored him and focused on the girl.

"Actually, I am not the secret admirer you're talking about." Yebin told the boys and smiled at them.

"Then who is it?" Soonyoung asked curiously.

"I thought it was you because you're the girl who approached me first ever since I transferred here." Wonwoo said.

"It's not me, really. It's actually my friend." Yebin said. "That's the reason why I'm here. I'm doing this for her."

"Who's that friend then?" Wonwoo asked curiously. He really wants to know that person who likes her.

"I can't tell you right now. She told me that she will reveal herself to you soon... Maybe at the school's year end party?" Yebin told the curious boys in front of her.

"Oh, it's three months from now." Seokmin said. "Can you wait that long, Wonwoo?"

"It's okay. That's what she wants."

"Sooo, I guess that's all for now... See you guys tomorrow." Yebin said and bid a goodbye to Wonwoo and his friends.

Mingyu and Wonwoo have decided to stay for a while in a café near their school. Both of them don't want to go home first and want to freshen up themselves from school before going home.

"So, have you found out who your secret admirer is?" Mingyu asked curiously.

"Not yet. I thought it was Yebin but it wasn't her. She told me it's her friend." Wonwoo answered and took a sip on his coffee.

"Ohh, what do you feel when you received a letter from someone who likes you?"

"Uhm, to be honest, I feel happy. Because no one has ever confessed to me that they have feelings for me, that they like me, and wants to know me better." Wonwoo smiled at his friend who's staring at him while he talks.

"Most people I've encountered said that they don't like me because they think I'm a cold person, some even said I look like a... gangster. I don't even understand why." Wonwoo's tone is getting sadder and Mingyu noticed it.

"Me too... I don't even understand why those people see you like that. You seem so nice and a very honest person." Mingyu's trying to cheer his friend up. "That's why I befriended you. You're not a boring person, too."

Wonwoo smiled at Mingyu's words. He's so thankful to have a friend like him. "Thank you, Mingyu. It is so nice to have a friend like you."

"You're always welcome. I'll be always here when you need me."

"That's so nice of you, Kim Mingyu." Wonwoo chuckled.

"Uhmm, anyway, can I see your secret admirer's letter?" Mingyu said, changing the topic.

"Oh, sure." Wonwoo then took the letter from his bag and gave it to Mingyu.

"Is it okay if I read it?" Wonwoo just nodded at Mingyu's question.

Mingyu then opened the letter and read it.

Hello Jeon Wonwoo! It's been a week since you have transferred here in our school. It's very nice to see you and I hope you will enjoy here. :)

I want to say that you are so handsome!!! You also seems nice and friendly. Hope we can be friends. I am too shy to introduce myself but I will reveal myself soon when I am ready. Maybe at the year end party??? Hehe.

We're actually on the same year but I won't tell what section I belong. You might search about me. That's embarrassing! Hahaha. Or ignore me? I hope not.

You are really so handsome, Jeon Wonwoo!!! I really really like youuuu. Please take care always~

"I think her name starts with letter M. It has letter M at the bottom part of her letter." Mingyu said, giving the letter back to Wonwoo.

"Yeah. I bet she's nice." Wonwoo said and kept the letter inside his bag.

"Ooh, how would you feel or what do you think would be your reaction when the girl reveal herself?"

"I am not sure. I don't know yet. I don't have any idea who the girl is." Wonwoo shrugged. "But, of course, I think I would feel happy and thankful because someone likes me... I won't ignore her because that will be rude."

"That's nice." That's only Mingyu could say.

"Uhm. By the way, I hope it's not bad to bring this up." Wonwoo cleared his throat first before continuing. "You told me you're not into girls, so that means you haven't had a girlfriend?"

"Well, yes. But I had a crush once on a girl." Mingyu said and rubbed his nape.

"Oh, but does your parents know about you being-"

"No. I can't tell them. I'm afraid." Mingyu answered Wonwoo, without finishing his friend's words.

Wonwoo felt Mingyu's feeling awkward with the topic. He noticed that Mingyu can't have an eye contact with him when they started to talk about this, so he suddenly changed the topic for Mingyu to not feel awkward and feel comfortable with him.
