Mingyu took Wonwoo home and didn't forget to thank his boyfriend's father for letting him borrow the car for today before taking a walk to his home. He still feel nervous. He doesn't know how he will start the conversation with his strict homophobic father when he get home. He just wants everything to turn out good after their conversation.

When Mingyu reached his house, he gulped nervously and entered the house quietly. He saw his father sitting on a couch, arms crossed on his chest, as he entered the living room.

"You have a lot of things to tell me, Kim Mingyu." Mr. Kim said as he walked closer to his son to talk to him face to face.

"W-where's mom?" Mingyu ask, trying to change the topic as if it's possible.

"She's in the bedroom. Don't try to change the topic, kid." Mr. Kim scoffed. Mingyu didn't open his mouth to say anything and just looked down. He just let his father speak and be mad at him.

"I actually don't know how to start our conversation but I think I'm just going to ask you questions." Mr. Kim said as he lift Mingyu's head up to make eye contact with him. "I didn't know I have a gay son. Do you even know that it will be a big SHAME to our family?" Mr. Kim emphasized the word 'shame'.

Mingyu gulped and felt his tears started forming on his eyes but he tried his best to hold it. He doesn't want to cry in front of his father. He has to be strong and fight for himself.

"So, who's Jeon Wonwoo?"

"He is my classmate, dad." Mingyu said with a blank expression.

Mr. Kim scoffed and then took his phone from his pocket. He unlocked it and showed the screenshots of Mingyu's Instagram post with Wonwoo at Everland.

"Where did you get that?" Mingyu asked curiously.

"Oh! Your cousin sent me these screenshots along with his message 'Hey uncle! I didn't know Gyu has a boyfriend. He's good looking! Congrats'." Mr. Kim rolled his eyes after reading the message.

"He's j-just my c-classmate, dad..." Mingyu said with his shaky voice. Nervousness is starting to take over his emotions.

"Cut your bullshits, idiot. Do you think I'm a fool? This Instagram post of yours is the proof. You're faces are so close to each other. You're kissing his cheek on the other photo. Do you even know how fucking gross is that?!" Mr. Kim annoyingly said. His voice is starting to raise which also started to get on Mingyu's nerves.

"How long you two have been dating, huh?! Do his parents even know?!" Mr. Kim asked and gritted his teeth.

Mingyu sighed and said, "We've been dating for seven months. And yes, his parents know and they support our relationship. They're not like you who doesn't know anything but throw hurtful words to his own son-"

"SHUT UP! BREAK UP WITH HIM!" Mr. Kim yelled to his son.

Mingyu looked at his father with widened eyes and madly yelled back, "NO! YOU SHUT UP! WHATEVER YOU SAY, I WILL NEVER BREAK UP WITH HIM!" Tears escaped his eyes.

Mr. Kim landed a punch on his son's face which made Mingyu drop on the floor. Mingyu touched his cheek that got hit and looked up to his father.

"ARE YOU REALLY MY FATHER?!"

Mr. Kim then grabbed Mingyu by his collar. "DON'T TALK TO ME LIKE THAT, KIM MINGYU!"

"What is going on here?" Mrs. Kim asked worriedly as she saw her husband grabbing their son by collar. "I heard you guys yelling from the bedroom."

Mr. Kim harshly let go of Mingyu and faced his wife. "You better teach YOUR son a lesson. He's really getting in my nerves!" He said annoyingly.

"He is your son, too! What seriously just happened?!" Mrs. Kim looked at her husband then to Mingyu with a confused face.

Mr. Kim heaved a deep sigh and looked at Mingyu, "Break up with Wonwoo or else I'll be the one who'll break your relationship with him." He said before he walked out and went to the bedroom.

Mrs. Kim looked at her son who just broke into tears once his father disappeared from their sight. She then kneeled down and pulled Mingyu into a tight to hug.

"M-mom, I am sorry..." Mingyu said with his shaky voice.

"Is that true, Mingyu? You're in a relationship with Wonwoo?" Mrs. Kim said softly as she caressed Mingyu's back.

"I am sorry..."

"Mingyu, I don't even know why you're sorry. Please stop apologizing and answer my question."

Mingyu sniffed and looked at his mother who's also looking at him worriedly. "Y-yes, mom. Wonwoo's my boyfriend."

"Oh, I-"

"Mom, it's okay if you're going to disown me too. I understand. I will-"

Mingyu's mother didn't let her son finish his words and just pulled him again into a tight hug. "Don't say that, Mingyu. I'm never going to disown you." She said.

"Y-you're not mad at me?" Mingyu asked. His voice was almost inaudible but his mother still heard it clearly.

"No, I'm not. I love you. You're my son. It's just... Why didn't you tell me before?"

"I'm afraid..."

"Don't be. I'm here, Mingyu. I will always be here for you." Mrs. Kim kissed the top of Mingyu's head. "And I understand because we really can't control our feelings. If you really like that person, why would you stop yourself from loving him?"

"Wh-what about father? What am I going to do?"

Mrs. Kim sighed and said, "Don't worry. I'll talk to him. I will do all I can."

"Thank you, mom. I love you."

"I love you too, my Mingyu." Mrs. Kim pulled out from their hug and lift Mingyu's head to kiss him on the forehead. "Go to your bedroom now and sleep. Stop crying, will you? Everything will be fine."

"Sure, mom. Good night." Mingyu smiled and gave his mother a quick hug before making his way to his bedroom.
