CHAPTER • 14

Wonwoo and Minkyeong are kissing.

The view welcomed Mingyu in the garden made his heart shattered into pieces. Tears started to roll down continuously on his cheeks. He can't stop it and suddenly felt a pain on his head. He's not sure if it's because he's drunk or what.

Mingyu decided to just leave the two, so he turned his back with his head low. Since he's drunk and walks unsteadily, Mingyu fell out of balance and landed on the floor.

Wonwoo and Minkyeong heard the loud thud outside the garden and saw the door is opened. Minkyeong stood still on her place while Wonwoo's the one who decided to check what's going on outside the garden.

Once he reached the entrance door of the garden, Wonwoo saw a familiar figure trying to get up. He went closer and helped the guy to stand up until he realized it's his best friend, Kim Mingyu.

"Mi-Mingyu... Are you okay?" Wonwoo asked worriedly and smelled something unpleasant. It smells like beer and it's coming from his best friend.

"Are you drunk?" Wonwoo asked once again.

"I'm fine!" Mingyu said as he shoved Wonwoo with his elbow and didn't mean it to hit Wonwoo's handsome face. Wonwoo felt a pang on his chest.

"WHAT THE HELL, KIM MINGYU?!" Wonwoo yelled at his best friend who just got up from the floor.

Mingyu scoffed and rolled his eyes. "ARE YOU MAD, JEON WONWOO? HUH?" He yelled back.

"YOU JUST SHOVED ME AND DID NOT EVEN SAY SORRY! WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?"

Hearing the yells from inside the garden, Minkyeong came out and saw the best friends arguing.

"Guys... Stop fighting." Minkyeong said with her soft voice, trying to calm the two guys down.

"You stay out of here, bitch!" Mingyu told Minkyeong. The girl realized that Mingyu is drunk, so she just ignore him and left the two. Minkyeong doesn't want this to get worse, so she left to tell the other guys.

"TALK TO ME, MINGYU! WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU?!" Wonwoo yelled once again.

"JUST GO FUCK MINKYEONG!"

Wonwoo's eyes widened. He didn't expect Mingyu will blurt out something like that. He understands why Mingyu's like this. He's drunk. But drunk people says the truth sometimes, right?

"WHAT NOW? ARE YOU JEALOUS? DO YOU LIKE MINKYEONG?"

Mingyu shook his head in disagreement and said, "YOU ARE A FOOL!"

"WHAT I HAVE EVER DONE TO YOU? DID I DO SOMETHING WRONG THAT MADE YOU MAD AT ME?!" Wonwoo still managed to yell back at his best friend even though he really wants to cry right now because of the words Mingyu throwing at him. But he has to be strong, so Mingyu would not feel pity about him.

"C-CAN YOU NOT NOTICE... THAT?!" Mingyu is too weak to control himself anymore because of his drunk state, so he just let the tears escape his eyes and looked down, sobbing continuously.

Wonwoo felt hurt seeing his best friend cry in front of him. He wants to hug Mingyu and let him cry on his shoulders but not now, not in this kind of situation they're in.

"Notice what, Mingyu..?" Wonwoo asked curiously with his soft deep voice. He doesn't have enough energy to yell at his best friend anymore.

"Notice th-that... I have f-feel-"

"HEY! WHAT'S GOING ON THERE?!" Mingyu's words got interrupted by Jihoon.

Mingyu turned around and saw their friends with Minkyeong and Yebin approaching them. But Seungcheol and Jeonghan are not with them.

"What are you guys fighting about?" Hansol asked.

None of the two answered Jihoon's question. So he asked once again, "What happened to both of you?"

Since no one's still answering Jihoon, Minkyeong was the one who answered Jihoon's question. She told every single detail from the start where she and Wonwoo heard a sound came from the outside until she left to call the friends but didn't mention that she and Wonwoo kissed. She also said that Mingyu's drunk that's maybe why he's being like this.

Jihoon looked at Mingyu's sad face who's looking down on the floor. "How the hell did you get drunk? Any alcoholic drinks inside the school is prohibited. Unless you went outside to drink?" He asked.

"I was with Seungcheol and Jeonghan at the rooftop... Seungcheol's the one who have the beers, I just joined them. I didn't know how he got the beers in." Mingyu answered calmly. His voice is almost inaudible.

Jihoon sighed and shook his head. "Are they still at the rooftop?"

"I don't know." Mingyu answered, still not making eye contact with Jihoon.

"You better go home now. You look really tired." Jihoon told the drunk Mingyu. Mingyu just nodded as his response to Jihoon and then looked up to Wonwoo. He's trying to understand Wonwoo's face, his expression and the way he looks at him. But he can't. His mind is too tired to think and understand things now.

"Your mother called me... She's worried about you. Tell her you're fine." Mingyu told his best friend before he turned back and made his way out of the school. Minghao and Jun decided to tag along because they can't just let Mingyu go home all by himself in his drunk state.

Jihoon told Soonyoung and Seokmin to go to the rooftop to see if Seungcheol and Jeonghan are still there. While the others have decided to leave and go home.

"Whatever your problem is, I hope you could get rid off it as soon as possible." Jihoon told Wonwoo when everyone has left.

"I'm sorry... This won't happen again." Wonwoo said sadly.

"Why are you sorry? I think Mingyu is the problem here, so don't be sorry." Jihoon smiled, trying to cheer Wonwoo up. "I believe you guys will be able to fix this immediately. You two are so close and inseparable. It's not late for you guys to talk about whatever your problems are. Mingyu is just drunk and he's really out of himself when he's drunk, so don't take seriously the words he has thrown to you."

Wonwoo couldn't say anything and just nodded at Jihoon. Jihoon bid Wonwoo a goodbye before he left. Wonwoo then took out his phone inside his pocket and unlocked it. He saw lots of text messages and missed calls from his mother. He then noticed his phone is on silent mode.

Wonwoo sent a message to his mother, so she won't be worried anymore.

I'm so sorry, mom. I made you so worried. My phone was on silent mode. :( I'm on my way home now. Love you!

Wonwoo then put his phone back inside his pocket and made his way out of the school.
