The next day, they were back at school.
It was homeroom, and Aizawa had an announcement.
To get the class the shut up he glared at them. Izuku copied Aizawa's glare, but he ignored that because it was expected at this point.
"Everyone shut up. Anyway, your fight is not over yet"
Murmurs went around the class. They were nervous about having to fight more villains.
"The UA Sports Festival is coming up"
The murmurs of nervousness turned to cheers of excitement, as the class spoke about who they thought would win.
Shoto waited until it quieted down to put his hand up.
"Yes, Shoto?"
"Is it really a good idea to have the sports festival?"
Hitoshi jumped in.
"My quirk relies on surprise. If villains know my quirk I'm useless"
Izuku then spoke too.
"If every villain knows I'm quirkless I'll be either targeted or ignored, and I don't want to find out"
The rest of the class didn't understand Hitoshi and Izuku's problems. They all had cool quirks that were 'well suited' for hero work. Whatever that means.
They never had to worry about their opponent knowing their quirks.
But Aizawa understood how it might be an issue.
"If you can secure an internship before the sports festival you don't have to take part in it. Class dismissed."
Aizawa slumped into his sleeping bag under his desk. Shoto went and sat on the arm of Izuku's chair, while Hitoshi pulled his over.
"I'm going to do the sports festival. What about you two, who are you interning with?"
Hitoshi put his head on the desk in defeat.
"This is stupid. We aren't going to get an internship"
Now that was negativity Izuku did not need right now. He hit Hitoshi on the head with his book and started thinking out loud.
"Normally I'd say we can go with Eraser, but he's busy and probably not taking internships.. I can look into other underground heroes? I'm sure Eraser can help"
Hitoshi looked up at Izuku with pure admiration.
"Your my hero"
All three burst out into laughter as Izuku pulled out his phone to research underground heroes.
"Wow, these heroes suck."
Shoto looked at him, confused as hell.
"Why do they suck?"
"They're supposed to be underground heroes, but there are whole articles about them. I suppose it would be harder to find a good one.."
Hitoshi stood up and went behind Aizawa's desk, bending down to floor level.
"Dad.. Dad. Dad. Dad. Dad. Da-"
"What?"
The boy grinned as Aizawa unzipped his sleeping bag.
"Me and Izu need your help finding an underground hero to intern with"
"And why do you think I can help?"
"Aren't you the unofficial number one hero of the underground?"
Aizawa groaned. He hated that title, yet still ended up with it.
