Chapter 13: Tournament pt5; Ryakee vs VolleyGan

Wokko ran out into the stadium. The crowd cheered as he and his opponent stepped up to the arena. The last member of Destroyer 4, Ryakee. "Ah so you're VolleyGan! Nice to meet ya!" Ryakee greeted with a smile and wave, his sunglasses reflecting the light. "It's so nice to meet you too Mr. Ryakee sir!" Wokko said beaming. "Please! Just call me Ryakee! You don't need to be formal with me!" Ryakee chuckled. "Oh ok! But just because I'm a huge fan doesn't mean I'm gonna hold back! I'm coming at you with 110%!" Wokko said pulling out his field card. "That's the spirit! I don't want it any other way!" Ryakee shouted in response pulling out his card. "TOURNAMENT FIELD OPEN!" The field opened, and the two brawlers wasted no time getting ready for this final battle. "GATE CARD SET!" They yelled. "After you, VolleyGan!" Ryakee shouted. Wokko grinned, reaching for his first bakugan. He looked at it. A Pyrus Tuskor. He smiled, thinking back to when Aya gave him that box of Pyrus Bakugan. He built a new deck in his room, marveling at the Bakugan Aya gave him. There was a Pyrus Mantris, Tuskor, Saurus, Fear Ripper, and a Ravenoid. Snapping back, he readies his Bakugan. "BAKUGAN BRAWL! TUSKOR STAND!" Tuskor stood on Wokko's card making its war cry while swaying its trunk. Ryakee whistled. "Pyrus Tuskor! That's something you don't see everyday." He said. "It may look like a normal Tuskor, and it is! But to me it's the best Tuskor in the world! Cause it was given to me by a special friend!" Wokko replied smiling, turning to the stands to look at Aya. Aya looked back at Wokko with a smile, giving him a thumbs up. Wokko turned back to the game. "Well in that case it is a special Tuskor indeed! But enough talking, let's do this!" Ryakee shouted reaching for his first Bakugan. "BAKUGAN BRAWL! DARKUS STINGLASH STAND!" Stinglash stood on Wokko's card, hissing and growling at Tuskor.

"Stinglash Power Level 420g. Tuskor Power Level 400g."

"GATE CARD OPEN! ATTRIBUTE!" Wokko commanded. The card glowed red as the field was surrounded by flames. "Sorry, but you're gonna have to do better than that! ABILITY CARD ACTIVATE! DIMENSION 4!" Ryakee shouted. The flames disappeared and the Gate Card turned monochrome, signifying its deactivation. "Better luck next battle!" Ryakee taunted. Wokko chuckled. "ABILITY CARD ACTIVATE! FLAMING TRUNK!"

Flaming Trunk: An Ability Card for Pyrus Tuskor. Increases g-power by 100G.

Tuskor's trunk lit on fire as it raised and then swung it down onto Stinglash. Stinglash screeched as it turned back to ball form, falling to Ryakee's feet. Wokko caught the Tuskor ball, smiling wildly. "Not bad, VolleyGan! But this battle is far from over! GATE CARD SET! BAKUGAN BRAWL! DARKUS MANTRIS STAND!" Mantris stood on the card Ryakee set at the start of the game. "GATE CARD SET!" Wokko shouted. "BAKUGAN BRAWL! TUSKOR STAND!" Tuskor stood on the card Wokko just set. "So far so good." Ryakee mumbled under his breath. "GATE CARD SET! BAKUGAN BRAWL! ROBOTALION STAND!" Robotalion stood on the card Ryakee just set. Robotalion was his strongest Bakugan. "Wait...what's with this? He's avoiding battle? Wait! He's going for a mine ghost strategy! Ok, calm down Wokko! There's a way out of this! Just think..." Wokko thought to himself. He looked at the battlefield and thought......"I GOT IT!" He said aloud. He reached for his second bakugan. "GATE CARD SET! BAKUGAN BRAWL PYRUS MANTRIS STAND!" Mantris stood on the card Wokko set. "Wait what!?" Ryakee shouted in surprise. "ABILITY CARD ACTIVATE! MARIONETTE!" Wokko called. Wokko's Mantris roped Ryakee's Mantris with electricity, moving it to the card Wokko believed was the mine ghost. "Shit!" Ryakee thought. Since he had no Bakugan to roll, he had to declare stay. "I declare stay on my Mantris!" Ryakee called. Wokko grabbed his partner, Inferneon. "Inferneon. What I'm about to do is extremely risky. Are you with me buddy?" Wokko asked. "To the very end." Inferneon replied. Wokko nodded. He tossed up Inferneon, then leaped into the air. "BAKUGAN BRRRRAAAAAAWWWLL!!!!" Wokko slammed Inferneon toward the field, as if serving a volleyball. "INFERNEON STAND!" An entire inferno of flames rose as Inferneon emerged and roared at Mantris.

"Inferneon Power Level 550g. Mantris Power Level 440g."

"GATE CARD OPEN! MINE GHOST!" Ryakee called. The card lit up, charging the blast. "I may be losing a Bakugan, but you're losing your partner too!" Ryakee called. Wokko chuckled. "That's what you think! ABILITY CARD ACTIVATE! BURNED LAND!" Inferneon charged up a fire ball, before burning away the Gate Card, nullifying its effects. "TAKE HIS MANTRIS OUT INFERNEON!!!" Wokko called. In mere seconds, Ryakee's Mantris was covered in flame, even the ball was smoking when it returned to Ryakee. Wokko caught Inferneon, brimming with glee. "Nice one Wokko! Keep it up and this battle's yours!" Aya called from the stands. "ABILITY CARD ACTIVATE!" Ryakee suddenly commanded. "METAL DARKNESS AVENGER!"

Metal Darkness Avenger: An Ability Card for Darkus Robotalion. This Bakugan may attack any Bakugan regardless of placement. Gains 200G if two of your Bakugan have fallen.

Robotalion propelled itself toward Mantris, punching it straight in the jaw, defeating it. "Yikes...too bad you landed on that card!" Wokko said. "BAKUGAN BRAWL! INFERNEON STAND!"

"Inferneon Power Level 550g. Robotalion Power level 700g."

"GATE CARD OPEN! CHARACTER!" The Gate Card opened, doubling Inferneon's power. Robotalion was caked in more flames than Mantris. And just like that, the battle was over. Wokko had won. The crowd cheered. This is the hardest Destroyer 4 had been pushed. "Wait that felt a little easy..." Wokko said. "Well to be honest...I underestimated you too much. That, and I'm actually pretty weak compared to the other guys!" Ryakee scratched the back of his head. "Oh. Sorry, if I'd known that I would've held back a bit!" Wokko said. "Don't be! That was a fun game! Congratulations, VolleyGan! Good luck in the 3 v 3 to your team!" Ryakee shouted. Aya, Aubrey, Jamie, and Wokko flinched. "I-I'm sorry the WHAT!?" Aya yelled. "Wait, you guys didn't know?" Ryakee said. "If there's a tie...three members on each time have one final battle to decide." A familiar raspy voice said. They turned to see MudaMan. "You!" Aya shouted. "Of course, the teams get to decide which 3 of their 4 members get to participate." Another voice said. They turned again, only this time to see Primeval. "Primeval..." Jamie mumbled. "Though, don't think any combination will help you!" Another voice called. Only Aubrey turned, as she stared down FlamingoGawd, who was texting on social media. Aubrey simply growled. "We will give you time to decide. Our combination should be obvious. Ryakee, my apologies but..." MudaMan trailed off. "No problem boss! I understand! Good luck!" Ryakee said returning to stand. The Kara returned to their room to discuss. Aubrey kicked a chair. "THIS IS BULL SHIT!!!" She shouted through gritted teeth. "Cool it Aub!" Wokko said. "He's right, getting angry is getting us nowhere." Jamie said. "BUT STILL! I AND WOKKO WORKED HARD FOR OUR WINS AND AYA KNOCKED HIMSELF OUT FOR A TIE!" She shouted. "Aubrey-" Jamie started. "No! Don't you guys see? This is EXACTLY what we've been waiting for!" Aya piped up. "This is our ultimate test! To see how far our training has come! And...it's the perfect place to put our plan into motion! Me, Aubrey, and Jamie should be in!" Aya said again. "Hey uh, bro? Not that I don't mind but how come I can't come?" Wokko asked. "Think about it..." Aya smirked. There was a pause. "THE TRIPLE NODE!" Aubrey remembered. "Oh that's right!" Jamie said. "Darkus..." Wokko pointed to Aya. "Ventus..." Wokko pointed to Aubrey. "Subterra!" Wokko pointed to Jamie. "That's brilliant! Ok! You three go and kick their butts!" Wokko cheered. "Right!" Aya, Aubrey and Jamie said in unison. They went out to the arena. The six brawlers stood in front of each other. "Jamie...don't disappoint me." Primeval said smirking. "I messed up my first chance! I won't mess up my second!" Jamie replied. "You cut my Moonlit Monarus up! It's pay back time!" FlamingoGawd said. "My mistake was not cutting it up into little pieces. I won't make that mistake again..." Aubrey smirked. "DarkHope....let us finished what we had started those hours ago..." MudaMan said smiling. "Took the words right out of my mouth." Aya replied.
