Chapter 35: BFFs

"Alright everyone! Dig in!" Marucho exclaimed. Everyone sat at a large table adorned with several dishes of many courses of food. "Don't mind if we do!" Dan smiled before chowing down. "Shouldn't we wait for the others? It's rude to eat without everyone present." Alice said. "Uggh. Someone wake up Lovebird top and Lovebird bottom." Sally groaned. "I'll fetch them." Tasha excused herself. "Wait which one's bottom and which one's top?" Wokko asked. "Oh come on it's so obvious!" Sally chuckled. Tasha knocked on Aya and Aubrey's door. "Aya! Aubrey! Breakfast!" Tasha called. "Coming!" Aya yelled back. Sally snorted. "Don't." Jamie scolded. "Wait what's so funny?" Dan asked with his mouth stuffed with meat. "You'll find out when you're older." Sally smirked. "Ah come on you always say that! I STILL don't understand the hairy raisin joke you said when we boarded! Why does Aya have raisins that are hairy and why is Aubrey choking on them!?" Dan asked frustrated. Sally began to cackle hard. "Now look what you've done." Jamie groaned. "Sally I heard that!" Aubrey yelled. "Yeah! Also my raisins are not hairy. They are clean shaved." Aya said matter of factly. "Well I should hope so!" Dan exclaimed. This caused Sally to laugh even harder, falling to the floor with tears rocketing out her eyes. "HAHAHAHHHJYGGSUGIE HOLY SHIT I CAN'T FUCKING BREATHE-" Sally wheezed. "Right...anyway, thanks for the food Marucho! This stuff's the BOMB!" Wokko smiled. "Thanks! Though you should be telling that to Preyas! He helped a lot!" Marucho admitted. "Speak for yourself! You deserve credit too buddy!" Preyas chimed. Sally pulled herself up, still laughing. That was, until she noticed a mark on Marucho's arm. "Hey what's that?" Sally asked. "Oh this? Uh don't worry! I just burned myself that's all!" Marucho chuckled. "Does it...still hurt?" Sally asked. "Well...it does but I'll he fine!" Marucho assured. Suddenly, Sally took Marucho by the arm that didn't have the burn and lead him to her room. "Hey woah Sally what are you doing!?" Marucho asked. "Just come with me." Sally said. "Anybody else concerned?" Aya asked. It was almost a unanimous "yes". That was until Sally exited with Marucho, who had a bandage wrapped on his arm. "Try to keep it damp. Not too wet." Sally instructed. "O-ok! Thanks!" Marucho stammered. "No prob." Sally replied, walking back to the table. "Huh...that went better than I thought." Aubrey said surprised. "I didn't know you knew first aid." Tasha commented. "Course I do. Not like I had much a choice." Sally replied. "F-Fair enough." Tasha turned away. "Guys if you don't eat it's gonna get cold! That or Dan's gonna eat it all." Runo teased. After a few hours of chatting and eating, Dan announced he had an idea. "Why don't I make a recording asking if anybody knows anything about the Infinity Core and post it on the Bakugan website?" Dan suggested. "Well it's not a bad idea, but what if Masquerade uses it as a trap?" Alice brought up. "Then we trip it and get the information out of him or whoever he sent. One way, or another." Aya replied. "Well it's as good of a place to start as any!" Wokko said. Everyone decided to go along with the plan. Meanwhile back in the kitchen, Marucho was washing the dishes with Preyas. "Hey, Preyas? Thanks for everything. You're the best friend I could ever have!" Marucho smiled. "Aw shucks little buddy! You're the best friend I could also ever have!" Preyas laughed.

A few hours later...

"Hey guys come here! We got a reply to Dan's message!" Marucho called. "What's it say!?" Dan asked. "It says 'I have information on the Infinity Core. Please meet me here at my home in Germany. It's better we meet face to face.' Weird." Marucho read. "Germany huh? Interesting." Aubrey noted. "Careful. Like Alice said, it could be a trap." Runo pointed out. "Still, a lead is a lead." Dan said. "Let's head out then." Aya nodded. After everyone agreed, the jet set course for Germany, and after a while they had arrived at their destination. A large mansion stood in an open space. The group got off the plane and examined the place. "It's huge!" Alice gasped. "Guess the person who invited us is inside." Aubrey noted. "Then let's go!" Dan exclaimed. The group headed inside, looking around and noting the large, decorated interior. Suddenly, out from the corner, a man entered. He had medium Grey hair, green eyes, and a white long coat with a blue collar, white pants and black dress shoes. "You the guy who sent the reply?" Dan asked. "Yes it was me. I apologize for the mystery around the message. My name is-" the man started. "Klaus von Hertzon. Number 2 brawler." Sally interrupted. "Oh so you know me? I'm flattered." Klaus smirked. "You're the reason I chose Aquos as my atrribute." Sally replied. "Yeah! And his partner is an Aquos Sirenoid!" Marucho noted. "Ah so you know. Well I also know you, Marucho. You have an Aquos Preyas with a unique ability to change attributes. Anyways, you're here for the information on the Infinity Core. Well, I'd be happy to tell you...that is...if you beat me in a battle." Klaus said slyly. "Oh come on! We don't have time for this! But fine, I'll take you on!" Dan shouted. "Very well." Klaus nodded. Suddenly, he pulled out a shooter. The shooter that Masquerade and his minions use. "MASQUERADE'S SHOOTER!?" Dan exclaimed. "OH COME ON CAN WE NOT COME ACROSS THESE SCUMBAGS JUST ONCE!?" Sally yelled. "ALRIGHT CHANGE OF PLANS THIS BASTARD IS MINE!" Aya growled as the aura of Black Conviction burned. Klaus looked at Aya with a stern face. "(So that's Black Conviction. This aura...I must admit it fills me with...dread.)" Klaus thought. "No. Let me!" Marucho exclaimed. "Marucho?" Dan asked. "I'm curious to see how my Aquos Preyas can stand to him!" Marucho smirked. "If we're talking Aquos on Aquos then let me. I haven't seen some action since our first scuffle with Antivirus and I've been ITCHING for a battle!" Sally cracked her knuckles. "Please, Sally? I can do this! Let me battle him!" Marucho pleaded. "I..." Sally stopped. She looked into Marucho's eyes, who flared with determination. "Oh fine." Sally sighed. "Very well then. Shall we?" Klaus invited. "Yeah!" Marucho smiled. "FIELD OPEN!" Marucho and Klaus shouted. As the field began to open, at the last minute, Sally ran and jumped in. The field opened. "Woah! Sally?" Marucho stepped back. "Decided to join us hm?" Klaus smirked. "Yeah. Wanted to watch your fancy ass get curb stomped!" Sally laughed. "Let's do this!" Marucho exclaimed. "Of course. But first, DOOM CARD SET!" Klaus threw down the Doom Card. "GATE CARD SET!" Both brawlers shouted. "I'll go first! BAKUGAN BRAWL! LIMULUS STAND!" Marucho threw Limulus onto his card. "Hm. BAKUGAN BRAWL! STINGLASH STAND!" Klaus threw Stinglash onto his card. "Put me in Coach! PUT ME IN!" Preyas yelled. "You got it! BAKUGAN BRAWL! PREYAS STAND!" Marucho threw Preyas onto the card with Stinglash. "Heard you were interested in me?" Preyas mocked.
