Chapter 17: 2 Dragons Clash

The two brawlers stared down each other. "Who are you? And what happened with that dude?" Dan asked. Aya paused for a moment. "Guy was a subordinate of the Masked Man. So I taught him what happens when anyone associated with him crosses my sight." Aya said, looking down at the remains of the launcher and Doom Card with disgust. "Anyways, my name is Aya." Aya said. "Yeah? Well it seems like you know who I am. You against Masquerade too?" Dan asked. "More than you could think." Aya said. "Well sorry, but that creep is mine! You wanna fight him? You're gonna have to go through me first!" Dan said pulling out a field card. "Do we really need to do this?" Aya asked, holding his head as if he had a headache. "I ain't taking no for an answer! Besides...I wanna see how strong you are! You sent that dude crying!" Dan exclaimed with a smile. Aya intrigued him. He seemed different from most brawlers he had faced. "Fine." Aya replied, pulling out his field card. "Dan wait-" Drago called. "FIELD OPEN!" Once again, the field arose and surrounded the two brawlers. "GATE CARD SET!" The two shouted. "Alright Aya let's see what you got! BAKUGAN BRAWL! JUGGERNOID STAND!" Dan called as Juggernoid spun onto his card. "Alright. Here I come! BAKUGAN BRAWL! GARGANOID STAND!" Garganoid flew up and screeched at Juggernoid.

"Juggernoid Power Level 350g. Garganoid Power Level 410g."

"GATE CARD OPEN! ATTRIBUTE!" Dan commanded. Fire surrounded the arena, increasing Juggernoid's power by 100g. "How do you like that!?" Dan shoued with a cocky smirk. Aya said nothing, pulling out an ability card. "ABILITY CARD ACTIVATE! DIMENSION 4!" Aya commanded. "Ah crap!" Dan shouted. The gate card turned monochrome, reducing Juggernoid's power. Garganoid screeched and dove down, tackling Juggernoid. Juggernoid turned into ball form and fell to Dan's feet. Aya caught Garganoid. "Woah you're tough! But this battle is far from over! GATE CARD SET! BAKUGAN BRAWL! SAURUS STAND!" Dan commanded. Saurus roared, rising on Dan's card. "Let's do this. BAKUGAN BRAWL! LASERMAN STAND!" Aya called. "ABILITY CARD ACTIVATE! TRACTOR BEAM!" Aya commanded. Laserman fired beams and pulled Saurus onto its card. "Woah what!?" Dan exclaimed. "Seriously this kid..." Aya mumbled.

"Laserman Power Level 400g. Saurus Power Level 420g."

"GATE CARD OPEN! ATTRIBUTE!" Aya commanded. "Alright how about I take a page from your book! ABILITY CARD ACTIVATE! BURNING LAND!" Dan shouted. The card burned away. "And for good measure, ABILITY CARD ACTIVATE! SAURUS GLOAT!" Dan shouted. Saurus increased and power. With a burning aura, it charged Laserman and defeated it, both Bakugan returning to their owners. "Haha! Yeah!" Dan cheered. "Not bad. BAKUGAN BRAWL! GARGANOID STAND!" Aya shouted. "He threw it on my card! Now's my chance!" Dan thought. "BAKUGAN BRAWL! SAURUS STAND!" Saurus roared as it rose once more.

"Saurus Power Level 420g. Garganoid Power Level 410g."

"GATE CARD OPEN! PYRUS DRAIN!"

Pyrus Drain - Gate Card for Pyrus. Your Bakugan gains 50g and your opponent's Bakugan lose 50g.

"I'm taking your Garganoid out, Aya!" Dan yelled. Aya didn't say anything. Simply smirking. "ABILITY CARD ACTIVATE! DARK EXCHANGE!" Aya shouted.

Dark Exchange - Gate Card for Darkus. Swap G-powers with your opponent.

The G-powers swapped as Saurus kneeled due to the weakness overtaking him. Garganoid screeched as flew down onto Saurus, scratching and biting him. Saurus went down and both Bakugan returned to their respective owners. "Aaaaah! This guy's real tough!" Dan said in frustration. "I'm ending this. GATE CARD SET!" Aya shouted. "BAKUGAN BRAWL! GARGANOID STAND!" Garganoid screeched and flew up. Dan got a serious look on his face. "You ready for this Drago?" Dan asked his partner. "Always ready, Dan!" Drago replied. "BAKUGAN BRAWL! DRAGO STAND!" Dan shouted. Drago flew up and roared at Garganoid. "So this is Drago!" Aya said, almost amazed. He had heard stories about Drago, but now seeing him in real life felt...cool. "You're a strong brawler, Aya! But this is where it ends!" Drago declared as he roared.
