"So did you two have fun?" Aya asked. "More or less. Lost my Manion to a couple of Masquerade's bitches though so that fucking sucks." Aubrey said. "I've had it up to HERE with this guy and his minions!" Wokko said putting his hand to his head. "I think we can all agree to that." Jamie said, fixing his glasses. Aya was about to speak before his Bakupod started making strange noises. He looked at it. "The fuck?" Aya mumbled. The static on the screen cleared as he saw a figure that he knew all too well. Masquerade. "Hello Aya Mono. It's been a long time." Masquerade's raspy voice echoed on the other line. Aya's eyes narrowed in fury. "YOU!" Aya shouted. Suddenly the TV in the room flickered with the same image. "It seems you and your little team have been a thorn in my side." Masquerade said. The Kara looked at him in rage. Jamie's eyes glaring from behind his glasses. Aubrey looking at the screen as if she were looking at roadkill. Wokko simply scowling. Sally bearing her teeth and growling. Aya's eyes practically glowing in anger...no. they WERE glowing. But everybody was too focused on Masquerade to notice. "Well, there's someone I'd like you to meet. Think of this as a test. If you pass, you'll be worth my time. But if you fail...well, you know my methods and you aren't stupid. I think you can fill in the blank. They'll be at the abandoned theater a few blocks south from the river. See ya." Masquerade taunted. As quickly as he came, he was gone. "Fuckin freak." Aubrey muttered. "This is obviously a trap. Aya what shall we- Aya!" Jamie said, noticing the glowing eyes. Aya's teeth gritted so hard they threatened to break. He didn't even seem aware Jamie was calling to him. Aya jolted back as he felt Aubrey's hand clasp his shoulder. "Aya? What was that?" Aubrey asked. "Don't know, don't care, don't matter." Aya said. "He's right. We can worry about that later. Right now we need to discuss this." Dragonoid popped up. "I agree with Dragonoid. However, it should be noted for later." Gaianoid added. Everybody nodded. "So. What do we do? I mean we aren't necessarily obligated to come are we?" Sally said. "Maybe. But there's also the possibility they come looking for us and well, that's a can of worms I'm not willing to open." Jamie replied. "But if we go we'll be falling straight into his hands!" Wokko said. "We don't exactly have much of a choice. So I say we bite the bullet and get this person's ass." Aubrey said. "Alright, it's settled then. Everyone, assemble your best decks. We don't know how many people there will be and who will be battling so it's best to prepare." Jamie said. Everyone nodded in agreement and started to assemble their decks. After roughly 20 minutes of deck building, they were ready. "He said a few blocks south from the river, right?" Jamie asked. "Yeah." Aya replied. They started their track down to their destination. All of them feeling a sense of worry. Before they knew it, they were standing in front of the abandoned theater. "Alright. Everyone ready?" Jamie asked. Before anybody could respond, Aya kicked in the door. "I think he's ready." Sally joked. The rest followed him in. As they made their way to the main room, they saw a single person in the middle. The man had blonde hair, green eyes, and a green jacket. He wore black sweatpants and black tennis shoes. Judging by the color of his Bakupod, he was a Ventus brawler, and he had the signature Masquerade launcher. "Guess we found our guy." Wokko said. "Which one of you is Aya?" The man asked. Aya stepped up. "Me." Aya said, glaring at the man. "Hmph. A shrimpy kid like you? Masquerade must've gotten the wrong guy." The man said. Aya pulled out his field card. "How about battle me and find out." Aya said. "Heh. Fine then. I'm Honda by the way." Honda replied doing the same. "Careful Aya." Aubrey said. "I got this." Aya replied. Aya and Honda stared down each other. "Whenever you're ready." Aya said. There was a pause. "FIELD OPEN!" Both brawlers shouted. Aya closed his eyes, thinking to himself. What was Masquerade's plan? Why this one person as a test? "Whatever." He thought. Whatever this test is, he'll pass it. "Aya...let's destroy him." Dragonoid growled. "Yeah." Aya replied. He opened his eyes and the familiar field had surrounded them. "Let's do this!" Aya shouted. "GATE CARD SET!" Aya and Honda shouted. "Let's get this over with. BAKUGAN BRAWL! ROBOTALION STAND!" Aya commanded, throwing Robotalion to his card. "Heh. Fine then. BAKUGAN BRAWL! VENTUS TERRORCLAW STAND!" Honda threw down Terrorclaw onto his own card. "I'm taking you out here and now. ABILITY CARD ACTIVATE! OPPOSITE WIND!" Honda called.
