Primeval lead Aya to a secluded hillside. "So what's this about?" Aya asked. "Well I figured that would be obvious." Primeval said looking at the X on Aya again. "Oh yeah. This." Aya said. "Yeah. Also, your Dragonoid evolved through the use of Black Conviction, correct?" Primeval asked. Aya nodded at the question. "I see." Primeval scratched his chin. There was a pause. "Very well. If it's alright with you, I'd like to test your new strength!" Primeval said pulling out his field card. "Uh well about that." Aya said before proceeding to explain to Primeval what had happened. "Ah, I see. So you're short on Bakugan and need to re-structure your deck?" Primeval asked. "Yeah. But once I do you're on!" Aya said. "Well, I guess it can't be helped." Primeval said reaching into his bag. He then pulled out 6 containers, each container having bakugan and cards, one for each attribute. "I was planning to give you them after the battle but it seems you need this one now." Primeval said handing him the Darkus container. "Woah! Uh, thanks! What's this for though?" Aya asked. "Just gifts from me and the rest of Destroyer 4. Help give you an edge against Masquerade." Primeval explained. "Thanks. I and the others appreciate it." Aya said. "Hey it's the least we could do for the ones who beat us." Primeval smirked. Aya took about 10 minutes to build a new deck out of the cards and Bakugan Primeval had gifted him. "You ready?" Primeval asked. "Yeah!" Aya said. "Hmph. Then let's go. Fight with all you've got!" Primeval smirked. "FIELD OPEN!" Both brawlers shouted. "You're going down, Primeval!" Aya exclaimed. "I'd like to see you try!" Primeval called. "GATE CARD SET!" Red and Purple lit up the field. "Get ready Primeval cause here I come! BAKUGAN BRAWL! MANION STAND!" Aya yelled, throwing Manion at his card. "BAKUGAN BRAWL! TERRORCLAW STAND!" Primeval shouted, throwing Terrorclaw to start a battle with Manion.
"Terrorclaw Power Level 460g. Manion Power Level 430g."
"GATE CARD OPEN! ATTRIBUTE!" Aya shouted. Darkness enveloped the arena. "Not happening! ABILITY CARD ACTIVATE! BURNED LAND!" Primeval commanded. Fire burned away the darkness, the field turning back to normal. "Now my Terrorclaw! Destroy his Manion!" Primeval called. Aya closed his eyes, taking a deep breath. When he opened them, the aura of Black Conviction surrounded him. Manion's eyes glowed and its claws grew slightly.
"Sudden increase in Manion Power Level. Power Level now 480g."
Manion stopped Terrorclaw's attack, before slashing it. "Interesting. It seems you have improved using Black Conviction." Primeval mumbled. "Woah! I didn't even realize I was doing it!" Aya exclaimed seeing his hand covered in the aura. "Pay attention! This battle is far from over! GATE CARD SET! BAKUGAN BRAWL! SERPENOID STAND!" Primeval shouted. "Heh! BAKUGAN BRAWL! MANION STAND!" Aya called.
"Serpenoid Power Level 450g. Manion Power Level 480g."
"GATE CARD OPEN! QUARTET BATTLE! GO, GRIFFON!" Primeval commanded. "Alright then! GO STINGLASH!" Aya followed up.
"Serpenoid and Griffon combined Power Level 960g. Manion and Stinglash combined Power Level 940g."
"Damn! I need a boost! ABILITY CARD ACTIVATE! DARK BOOST!" Aya yelled. "I won't allow you! ABILITY CARD ACTIVATE! LION-SNAKE WING!" Primeval called.
"Ah shit!" Aya cussed. Griffon flew up, swooping down and slashing Aya's Bakugan with its wings. "Hmph." Primeval caught his Bakugan. "Yeah I guess he's not Destroyer 4 for no reason. I wonder...was he holding back in the tournament?" Aya wondered. "BAKUGAN BRAWL! SERPENOID STAND!" Primeval yelled. Aya took another deep breath. "I'm ready." Dragonoid said. "I know. I'm just...kinda tired." Aya said before falling on one knee. "Aya!" Dragonoid exclaimed. "Are you ok!?" Primeval called. Aya pushed himself up. "Yeah! I can keep going! I WILL keep going! BAKUGAN BRAWL! UNLIT DRAGONOID STAND!" Aya commanded. A dark pillar of fire blazed as Dragonoid emerged and roared. Primeval couldn't help but marvel at it. "So...this the result huh?" Primeval mumbled.
"Serpenoid Power Level 450g. Unlit Dragonoid Power Level 600g."
Primeval jolted a bit at the insane power level of Unlit Dragonoid. "GATE CARD OPEN! ATTRIBUTE! And, ABILITY CARD ACTIVATE! FIRE BOOST!"
"Serpenoid Power Level 700g. Unlit Dragonoid Power Level 600g."
"Heh! Nice try! ABILITY CARD ACTIVATE! DARK DRAGON'S FANG!" Aya commanded. Primeval's Ability was negated, bringing Serpenoid down to 550g and increasing Dragonoid to 700g. Dragonoid used one of its massive hands to claw Serpenoid, defeating it. "Not bad kid. Not bad." Primeval said, slightly smirking. Aya laughed, starting to get cocky. "Hm. GATE CARD SET! BAKUGAN BRAWL! GRIFFON STAND!" Primeval called. "Hah! We got this! BAKUGAN BRAWL! DRAGONOID STAND!" Aya commanded.
"Griffon Power Level 510g. Dragonoid Power Level 600g."
"GATE CARD OPEN! CHARACTER!" Primeval called. "Oh no you don't! ABILITY CARD ACTIVATE! DARK DRAGON'S CLAW!" Aya shouted. The Gate Card was negated. "Sorry Primeval, but you can't beat me now! I've mastered Black Conviction!" Aya triumphantly shouted. Primeval said nothing. Suddenly, a large shockwave blew across the field. Aya jumps back at the shockwave, his eyes narrowing at the sight. "You're better before kid, I'll give you that, but if you think you've mastered Black Conviction, you're horribly mistaken." Primeval said. He clutched his fists and an aura all too familiar to Aya surrounded him. It was the aura of Black Conviction. Though unlike Aya, Primeval's aura was black and red. The tattoos on Primeval's arms and his Griffon tattoos glowed red, a contrast from their normal blue, while the tattoos on his lower torso of his other 2 Bakugan remained the same. "Let me show you WHAT TRUE MASTERY OF BLACK CONVICTION LOOKS LIKE!" Primeval shouted. His eyes were a glowing, blazing yellow. Suddenly, his Griffon roared before it bursted in a blinding red light. When it cleared, his Griffon was different. It's wings were made of feathered steel. It's tail, once a mere serpent, now resembled a dragon. It had armor plating on its sides, which along with the wings were jet black. It also had a horn. It's teeth were sharper. It was...Primeval Griffon.

"Holy shit! You could use Black Conviction the whole time!?" Aya exclaimed. "Of course. I just don't use it unless I need to. Especially not during Tournaments. Wouldn't be fair you see. But we're not in the Tournament, and my opponent has a similar power. So I have no reason to not use it." Primeval glared
"Griffon Power Level 700g. Dragonoid Power Level 600g."
"THAT POWER!!!" Aya exclaimed being taken aback by Griffon's g-power. "Show me what you got! Aya!" Primeval yelled. "ABILITY CARD ACTIVATE! VOID QUASAR MK2!" Aya shouted.
"Griffon Power Level 700g. Dragonoid Power Level 1,350g."
"Oh? Quite a strong ability. But it doesn't matter. BLACK ABILITY CARD ACTIVATE! POWER BORN FROM CONVICTION!
Power Born From Conviction - Primeval's Black Ability. Primeval Griffon gains 1,000g.
"WHA!?" Aya exclaimed. "IT ENDS HERE DRAGONOID!" Griffon roared. Griffon charged a black and red beam, Dragonoid charged Void Quasar. Both Bakugan fired, but Griffon's beam cut right through, defeating Dragonoid. The field closed, with Primeval emerging as the victor. "Ah damnit! I lost! Though I guess this all makes sense." Aya said. "You have improved. And if you keep going at this rate, I have full confidence you can master Black Conviction. I'm proud, Aya." Primeval said, helping Aya up with a slight smile. "Thank you, Primeval. For everything. Let's meet again!" Aya said. "Yes. I'll be sure the others are with me next time. See you, Aya." Primeval said before leaping off the hillside. Aya looked down at the boxes Primeval left. "They're cool people. I hope we run into them again. Anyway, better get back. Gotta give the others these Bakugan and talk more with Dan about our alliance." Aya mumbled before grabbing the gifts and making his way to his house.
