Chapter 22: Ablaze

"Gah!" Aya jolted awake to find himself in a strange room. It was small and lit by one light. On the west and east sides of the room were windows into other rooms. "What the fu...?" He asked himself. He got up and walked to the window on the east to see...Aubrey. She was asleep in the next room. He looked in the other Window and saw Wokko. He banged on the east window. "AUBREY! WAKE THE HELL UP!" Aya yelled. Aubrey woke with a jolt. "The fuck!? Aya!? Where the hell are we!?" Aubrey asked. "Nowhere good! I'll wake up Wokko, you wake up whoever's on your side!" Aya said as he went to the other window to wake up Wokko. Aubrey looked over and saw Jamie. "OI JAMIE! WAKE UP!" Jamie startled awake and Aubrey filled him in. Soon Wokko and Sally were up. "TASHA! GET UP DUMBASS!" Sally shouted kicking the window. Tasha woke up. "Sally what's going on!?" Tasha asked. "We got jumped by Antivirus that's what!" Sally replied. Suddenly the doors to each cell opened up. A member of Antivirus emerged from one door corresponding to the Kara's Attributes. Dusk to Aya, Ventura to Aubrey, Samuel to Jamie, Pierce to Wokko, Aurora to Sally, and Hawk to Tasha. "Well well well, looks like the moment of truth has arrived." Dusk said with a malicious tone. "Cheap shot fuckers." Aubrey grumbled. "Well, Masquerade told us to do anything to stop you. We're just following instructions." Hawk replied. "But on the same token, we aren't gonna give you zero chance." Aurora followed. "Allow us to explain. All twelve of us are going to have a one versus one battle with their correlating attributes. If the member of the Kara wins, that member gets to walk out free. If that member of the Antivirus wins, that person will not only lose their Bakugan, but they will be left here to rot away and die. For example, should everyone of you but Aya win, all but Aya will get to walk out of here." Samuel explained. All of the Kara's eyes widened. "Hold on! Tasha's way too under-powered! She hasn't battled in years!" Sally shouted. "That sounds like her problem. Besides, I was certain with your outburst at the chapel, that you despised her." Dusk taunted. "Doesn't mean I want her to fuckin die you psychopath!" Sally growled. "Guess you'll just have to hope and pray she can pull it off." Dusk replied. The Kara said nothing. "To decide who will battle, I'll roll this dice." Dusk said pulling out a six sided die. Instead of dots though, there were attribute symbols. "Whichever attribute it lands on will be who battles first. Ready or not..." Dusk continued. She threw the die up as it scattered around on the ground before landing with the Pyrus symbol face up. "YES!" Pierce cheered. He glared at Wokko, pulling out his field card. Wokko paused. "Pierce...why man? What would coach say to this!?" Wokko said. "SHUT THE FUCK UP! YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO MENTION COACH! NOT AFTER WHAT YOU DID!" Pierce yelled back. Wokko had another pause before pulling out his own field card. "Fine! Let's get this out of the way!" Wokko shouted. "Good luck, man." Aya said, worried about the outcome. "FIELD OPEN!" Wokko and Pierce shouted. "Wokko." Inferneon started. "Wassup Inferneon?" Wokko asked. "If this is the last time we see each other...you're the best friend I've ever had. I couldn't have asked for a better partner. Thank you." Inferneon said solemnly. "This ain't the end bro. I'll make sure of it!" Wokko smiled. "Hah. Right! We'll get out of this!" Inferneon exclaimed. Wokko looked back up, glaring at Pierce with determination. "DOOM CARD SET!' Pierce shouted. "GATE CARD SET!" Wokko and Pierce shouted. Red lit up the floor of the arena. "Go ahead, Pierce!" Wokko shouted. "Finally letting me have some spotlight huh!? Fine then!" Pierce grined. Wokko flinched at this. What did he mean by that? "BAKUGAN BRAWL! WORMQUAKE STAND!" Pierce commanded, throwing Wormquake onto Wokko's card. "I'm ready to take you down! I'm walking outta here free! BAKUGAN BRAWL! RAVENOID! STAND!" Wokko yelled, throwing Ravenoid at Wormquake.

"GATE CARD OPEN! PYRUS!" Wokko commanded. "HEY DUMBASS! WE'RE BOTH PYRUS!" Pierce mocked. "I know! That's why I'm using this! ABILITY CARD ACTIVATE! SHADOW-FIRE!" Wokko shouted in response.

Shadow-Fire: Ability Card for Pyrus and Darkus. Your opponent doesn't get a g-power bonus from Gate Cards this battle.

"Oooh! Clever! But it isn't good enough! DOUBLE ABILITY ACTIVATE! BURNED LAND PLUS FIRE BOOST!" Pierce called. The gate card was negated, now Wormquake was higher. "Crap! ABILITY-" Wokko pulled out an Ability Card. "NOT A CHANCE! ABILITY CARD ACTIVATE! DEVOUR!" Pierce shouted with a wicked smile.
