It was a dark night. Cool breezes blew the branches of swaying trees. In a dark room in an unknown location, a girl sat at a desk, one of her bandaged arms writing away on a journal. She finished writing and sighed. Leaving the journal open, the girl walked over to her bed and laid down. The girl in question was Dusk Nori. Leader of Antivirus.

(A YEAR PRIOR)

"How dare you disobey orders!" A booming voice sounded out. Dusk looked at her father with disdain. "Well MAYBE I'd follow orders if you weren't the shittiest father known to-" Dusk's outburst was interrupted by her father's fist punching her face. "YOU INCOLENT BRAT!" Her father, Theodore shouted. Dusk, fed up with this, walked out the front door. "DON'T YOU DARE TURN YOUR BACK ON ME!" Theodore called. Dusk ignored his roars and slammed the front door, running into the woods. After running for about 10 minutes, Dusk ran into a secluded junk yard. Climbing the fence, she landed into it. "Fuck him." Dusk mumbled. She saw a rusted bat among the junk. Dusk grabbed it and started to wail on other things in the junkyard. The urge to destroy burned bright in her. "FUCK THIS FAMILY! FUCK FATHER! FUCK MOTHER! AND ESPECIALLY FUCK THAT GOLDEN CHILD PIECE OF SHIT!" Dusk screamed as she hit harder and harder and harder before the bat suddenly broke. She looked at the broken bat before chucking it. Dusk climbed to the top of one of the mountains of junk, looking at the night sky. She sighed before reaching into her pocket and pulling put a small razor. Dusk rolled up her sleeve, examining the cuts on her arm. Some fresh, some old. She put the razor to her arm, and began making small cuts. It didn't matter what was destroyed, as long as something was destroyed, it could at least somewhat satisfy her urge. After a few cuts, she chucked the razor away. She looked up to the sky, before screaming at the stars. The screaming hurt her throat but she did not care. Suddenly though, her screams were interrupted by a peculiar sight. Cards began to fall from the sky like rain. One landed in Dusk's now cupped hands. "What the..." Dusk whispered. She slid down the junk pile and started to collect more of the cards, most of them donning the black symbol. Her intrigue growing with each card. She looked at the cards she collected. The words on them didn't make sense, but all had a common theme. "Bakugan?" Dusk asked. Suddenly, the cards glowed a vibrant purple. Emerging from them, black marbles with purple accents flew out of the cards. It was strange. Even though she had just discovered them, she felt as if she knew them like the back of her hand. "THESE ARE SO COOL!" A cheery voice broke the silence. Dusk scoffed, recognizing the voice. She figured her parents sent her out to find her, so she went towards the voice. After passing through some bushes she saw her. A short girl with orange hair and blue eyes. She wore a bright yellow dress with gold colored heels. In her hands were similar marbles. Though unlike Dusk's, which were black and purple, the ones in the girl's hands were white and yellow. "So you found some too, huh Miko?" Dusk asked. Miko turned to look at Dusk. "Hey big sis! Daddy sent me out to find you, but I got distracted by these cards and marbles! Wait...did you find some too?" Miko asked. "(Didn't I just ask you that?) Yeah." Dusk pulled the ones she had out to show her. "Ew. Black and purple? Those are icky colors!" Miko said in disgust. "Yeah whatever you say. Just...don't say that around Jerome got it?" Dusk sighed. "Why not?" Miko asked. "It'd be really dickish. So just don't. Also don't say dickish either. Last time you repeated a word I said, dad gave me a black eye." Dusk scratched her head. "Well anyway, like I said, Daddy asked me to find you! And here you are!" Miko smiled. "...Miko?" Dusk said. "Yeah?" Miko looked up at her. "Did it ever occur to you that maybe I don't want to be found?" Dusk said through gritted teeth. "Why wouldn't you wanna be found? And besides, Daddy told me to find you. I can't ignore what he says!" Miko was confused by what her sister was saying. "...nevermind." Dusk shook her head. "Ok...don't worry! I know the way back!" Miko said, marching toward the house. After a bit, the two got back. Miko opened the front door. Behind it, their father waited there with an angry expression. "(Of course his fatass is there.)" Dusk thought. "Hi daddy! I found Dusk!" Miko smiled. "I see that, Miko. Good job. Now go up to your room and play. I need to talk to Dusk." Theodore said, glaring at Dusk. "Ok!" Miko ran inside. "Like hell I'm talking with you." Dusk scoffed. "I'm not giving you a choice." Theodore growled. "Me neither." Dusk was getting even more impatient. Suddenly, her father threw a punch, but Dusk ducked, causing him to fall. Dusk ran, jumping onto the ledge and climbed to the roof. "What's wrong old man? Can't get me up here can you?" Dusk taunted. Theodore scoffed, going inside. Not too long later though, he came out with a ladder. "Shit. Should've seen that coming." Dusk muttered. He put the latter up and started climbing. Dusk sighed, accepting defeat. That was, until a voice whispered to her. "Kick it down." Dusk's eyes widened. She put her foot to the latter's edge. "What the hell are you doing!?" Theodore yelled. "Climb another step and I'm sending you down." Dusk threatened. Her voice sounded...different. It was slightly deeper, more commanding. After a pause, he climbed down and went inside. "What was that? Do I have a death wish? Whose voice was that?" Dusk questioned. She noticed that she was holding one of the marbles. She looked down at it. "You...it was you...Fear Ripper." Dusk whispered. She clutched the small marble before opening the window to her room and climbing in. She placed the cards and marbles on her desk, examining them for a bit. "Eh. Whatever." Dusk sighed before laying down on her bed. She stared out in her window, looking at the bright moon. "Cards from the sky huh? Weird." Dusk mumbled. Her eyes fluttered a bit before she closed them and drifted off to sleep.
