When Love Lasts

Chapter 8

Meg and Sam were still in the bridal shop. 

"How's this, Sam?" said Meg.

She was wearing an unbelievably skinny white dress with no sleeves or straps.

"That's not your type of dress" said Sam.

Meg looked in the mirror and said "I guess not".

"Try another" said Sam.

Meg tried on more dresses. And later...

"Uh, Sam? We have a problem" she said.

"Oh my gawrsh. What is it?" said Sam.

Meg came out of her fitting room and said "I look pretty in all these dresses!" 

She was now wearing one with a really long train and short sleeves.

"Well, that one looks nice on you." said Sam.

"Yeah, but I think it's a little too skinny" said Meg.

"Well, you really can't buy the first dress you see" said Sam.

"I know. And if Chad sees me in this, he's gonna take it off me, give it away and ravish me" said Meg.

"Well, he did always think you looked ravishing" said Sam.

"Maybe I should try a different dress" said Meg.

"Okay" said Sam.

Meg tried on a few more dresses. 

She didn't seem to like any of them until...

"This is it. This is the one" said Meg happily.

"Let's see!" said Sam.

Meg burst out of her fitting room in a HUGE dress with  a pink sash, long sleeves and gloves.

"Isn't it lovely, Sam? Do you like it?" said Meg.

Sam stared wide-eyed and gaped for a few seconds then said "Do you?"

"I do! In fact, I LOVE it!" Meg squealed.

Sam hesitated then said "Wow."

"You don't like it?" said Meg.

"It's big, let's be honest." said Sam.

"Too big?" said Meg.

"Hey. It's your wedding. You want it, you can get it. I'm just saying it's huge." said Sam.

Now Meg wasn't sure she wanted this dress. 

She bought it just in case, but she didn't know if she wanted it anymore because Sam disliked it.
