Chapter 32

The Warriors put their uniforms back on and joined the two men.

"How bad is it?" said Sam.

"My water just broke, Sam. Please help" said Chad. 

"Okay... We need a plan" said Charles Wallace.

"Ow!" Chad screamed in pain.

"Alright... Chad, we're gonna get you an ambulance" said Sam.

Calvin called the hospital. 

"Sam... Sam. Does that stuff make labor go by faster?" said Chad.

"I dunno, honey. But it's pretty weird. It lasts normal, but apparently the water breaks sooner" said Sam.

"Oh, god..." Chad groaned.

Calvin hung up the phone.

"Well?" said Jeremy.

"Ambulances are backed up at least half an hour. Meg has a busy day ahead of her, it seems" said Calvin.

"Oh no. What do we do now?" said Charles Wallace.

"We might have to get Chad to the hospital ourselves" said Calvin.

"Oh no, I can't wait that long" said Chad clutching his belly.

"Geez... now what?" said Calvin.

"Okay... Cal, go to Wigglehouse and ask the Wiggles if we can borrow their first aid kit" said Sam.

"On it" said Calvin.

"Charles Wallace, get a bucket of water and some towels" Sam ordered.

"Aye aye, Sam" said Charles Wallace. 

Sam grabbed the phone.

"What are you planning, Sam?" said Jeremy.

"I'm gonna see if I can get Meg on the phone so she can talk us through how to deliver a baby" said Sam.

"Sam, if the ambulances are backed up, Meg has to be really busy. It's no good, luv" said Jeremy.

"Well, Chad's body hasn't got all day" said Sam.

Jeremy hesitated then said "Very well. What can I do to help?"

"Leave the work in progress to the Warriors. All you need to do is make sure Chad stays calm and that he's okay" said Sam.

"Got it" said Jeremy.
