Chapter 16

Meg, Chad and the Beatles were in the hospital waiting room. 

Jermey and Charles Wallace joined them later.

"And then we called an ambulance and got him straight here" said Meg.

"That was really brave" said Chad.

"Well. Compared to saving Charles Wallace from the IT, that was nothing" said Meg.

"What happened to him?" said Charles Wallace.

"I dunno. But from what we saw, it was a heart attack. Or at least a heart attack-like event" said John.

"What's the difference?" said Jeremy.

"A heart attack-like event is an event that's like a heart attack but isn't a heart attack" said George.

"Well, that is pretty accurate" said Ringo.

"Why did Paul faint anyway?" said Jeremy.

"Let's just say he got some news that probably hurt him" said Meg.

"Blimey; what news was that?" said Chad.

"I... I can't tell you, Chad" said Meg.

"Meg, I'm your fiancee. Of course you can tell me" said Chad.

"Yeah, you'd think that" said Meg.

Now Chad knew exactly what she meant.

"You told Paul we're getting married and he had a heart attack?" he said.

"Well... I don't really know, but..." said Meg.

"Sweet, how could he?" said Chad.

"The thing is... Paul sometimes gets upset when someone else does something for me that he never did" Meg explained.

"Like propose to you?" said Chad near tears.

Calvin, Sam and the Wiggles came in just then.

"We got your message. What happened?" said Sam.

"Paul had a heart attack because I'm marrying Meg and he couldn't!" Chad sobbed.

He darted to the other side of the room and cried his eyes out.

Meg took Jeremy to the side.

"Is he gonna be okay, Jeremy?" she said.

"I dunno. He's not always like this. But when he is, he's usually okay" said Jeremy.

"What's the difference?" said Meg.

"He's pregnant. Remember? He has stronger emotions so I dunno if it's gonna be the same" said Jeremy.

"True" said Meg.

Charles Wallace heard the conversation and approached them.

"Hey. I heard everything you just said. Is that true?" he said.

"Yeah, it is, Charles." said Jeremy.

Charles Wallace scampered to where Chad was.

"Chad Stuart, the game is up!" he said.
