Anushree's viewpoint :

My eyes cracked open as the sound of my ringtone penetrated through my ears in the middle of the night.

It's Shubman. I guess he's missing me and the same goes for me. I almost couldn't sleep today because I was missing his warm arms so much, but I was so tired that ultimately my eyes felt heavy and got closed.

It's over midnight and I'm glad that Shubman will now help me get through the rest of the night.

"Hey baby." I softly greeted him right after answering his call.

"Anu, please stay on call, okay? Please tell me you're fine. Please." I heard Shubman's disturbed voice, accompanied by the speedy sound of wind passing by.

Where is he? He doesn't sound alright.

"Shub? Aap kahan ho?" I asked him in an anxious voice.

"Are you okay? Please tell me you're doing well." He pleaded again.

"Haa main bilkul theek hu. Aap tension mat lijiye, please." I persuaded him.

"Thank God. Please don't move much, stay in bed." He told me next.

"You're scaring me, kuch toh bataiye." I pleaded him.

"Main tumse milne aa raha hu." He answered.

What?!

"Aap drive kar rahe ho?" I stuttered.

"Hmm, I'll take a few minutes." He answered and I heard the sounds of the tyres screech fast on road.

"You were drunk, it's so dangerous!" I shrieked.

"I don't care. I need to see you." He mumbled in an extremely disturbed voice.

What's gotten into him? He never behaves this way. He's acting so immature and doing illegal things. Drinking and driving is so harmful, yet he's practising it, which he would never in his right mind. It's scaring me.

"Don't drive too fast, please." I requested him.

By the speed of wind flowing by, I can assume how fast he must be driving on the deserted lanes. The distance between our flat and this farmhouse is like a highway and Shubman must be almost flying the car, which is threatening me to the core.

"I'm outside, come open the door." He requested me and I heard him turn off the car engine.

So soon? Gosh, he must be driving insanely. I'm not gonna let this slide. He'll get scolded well today.

"Or wait, I'll climb up." He added within a few seconds.

"No! Just stay there, main aa rahi hu." I stopped him and ran out.

Everyone here at home is tired today and they're sleeping, which is a big bonus. I slowly tip-toed my way out and reached the main gate. The gate was locked so it took me a minute to open it quietly.

Shubman is standing patiently near his car, but he looks intensely troubled. I wonder what's wrong.

"Shub.." I whispered.
