Quidditch
____________________________________

"Enjoy the party last night?" Draco asked as I walked to the Quidditch pitch the next day.

Thanks to stupid Umbitch, Harry had gotten a lifetime ban from Quidditch (so did the Twins). So, Angelina and Ginny begged me to step up and play Seeker. After much convincing, I agreed, and I was now also on my way to play Seeker against Ravenclaw.

"Yeah. I had a fun time with Dean."

"You're a piece of work, you know that right?"

I smiled. "Take the hint, Malfoy. I'm not interested."

A while later, I mounted my broom and flew onto the pitch with the rest of the Gryffindor team. The stands were loaded with students since Quidditch is a very big deal at Hogwarts.

After taking our positions, the snitch was released, and Cho, the Ravenclaw Seeker, and I took off in pursuit of it.

We bumped shoulders as we chased after the snitch, except we both lost sight of it early on, so we went our separate ways.

I decided to fly around the stadium and search for the snitch. I flew in a slow circle over all the house sections, making sure to tune out the Slytherins as I flew over. After having no luck of sighting the golden glow of the snitch, I parked myself above the match so I was free from getting hit by any bludgers.

I kept a firm eye on the game below me and watched as we widened the gap in the score. It was likely that even if I didn't find the snitch, we would still win through all the points that Ginny and Angelina were scoring.

As the game went on, I caught a slight glint of gold down in the battle of Ravenclaw and Gryffindor below. I kept a steady eye on it as I nose dived straight into the game.

Just as I was about to reach the snitch, it veered back up, so I aimed my broom back up just as I neared the ground. I followed the snitch back up into the air and hoped that Cho hadn't noticed me searching because that will make my job so much harder.

The snitch led me high up into the sky before diving down once more towards the stadium. This time, I had no problem closing the gap on it as I dove down after it.

Cheers erupted from the crowd when I pulled the snitch out of the air and into my grasp. Well, the cheers came from Gryffindor and Hufflepuff. I got a clap from Ravenclaw, and a whole lot of boos from Slytherin. Someone from that section even threw a shoe at me as I flew back onto the ground.

"Nice job," said Angelina. She pulled me in for a hug once she had climbed off her broom.

"You found that quicker than Harry has ever found a snitch," commented Ginny as she too gave me a hug.

"That's because I'm the best," I replied with a smile.

Despite falling off my broom last year when I mistook Draco for being hot, I wouldn't say I'm terrible at Quidditch. When Harry and I would face off against each other while playing Quidditch at the Weasley's, I would win a lot of the time.

As I walked back to the castle, it began to snow. I shivered slightly as I entered the Great Hall because they always had hot chocolate and other food in there on Quidditch days.

However, just as I was about to enter, Draco blocked my path.

"Bloody hell, Malfoy. Can't you leave me alone for five minutes?" I spat.

He crossed his arms and leaned up against the doorway. "Y/n—"

"Ah, ah, ah, I have a boyfriend."

Draco rolled his eyes and smirked before taking one step towards me and cupping my face. Before I could react, his lips were on mine. As per usual, I didn't pull away, but why would I? It's not like he's a bad kisser.

His tongue slipped into my mouth, sending butterflies through my stomach, and just as I thought we were about to go somewhere more private, he pulled away.

"If you had a boyfriend, you would not have let me do that," he replied coolly.

I felt my mouth open and close as I searched for a response. All he did was smirk and brush a strand of hair behind my ear.

"I'll be alone in my dorm tonight if you want to pick up on that," he murmured in my ear before placing his hands on my hips so he could maneuver around me.

I watched, totally awestruck, as he walked away like nothing had just happened. . . Did I just get a taste of my own medicine?

"No need for that, Malfoy!" I yelled.

He spun around but continued to walk backwards. "Quit trying to play hard to get, Potter. The second we leave for winter break next weekend, you'll realize how much you miss me!"

"Miss you, yeah right," I sneered as I walked into the Great Hall.

How could one be so full of themself? You would think he would be humbled after I rejected all his advances, but nope. Then again, it's likely just the bet talking.
