"A message came for you today, Dabs," Toga said holding out an envelope, that had Dabi written on the front.

"A message from whom?" Dabi said grabbing the envelope, and tossing it to the side.

"It didn't say," Toga said, "but aren't you going to read it?"

"No. We have a mission to focus on," Dabi said. Walking across the room towards the fireplace. In a second the fireplace was filled with blue flames, heating the cold room immediately. "Have you heard back from them yet?"

"I haven't," Toga said, "but maybe the message is from them."

"Its not." Dabi said.

"How do you know?" Toga asked.

"I recognize the handwriting," Dabi said turning to Toga and giving her a death glare, "I know who it's from, and it's just a waste of time."

"Then why don't you-" Toga was cut off.

"Because I don't want to hear from him," Dabi said.

"Is it your dad? Or your brother?" Toga asked.

"Its none of your business," Dabi said lit a small fire in his hand, "I suggest you drop it."

Toga rolled her eyes, "Dabs, you're not going to hurt me. I'm not stupid, but if you don't open it, I will."

Without saying a word, Dabi walked over to the envelope, picking it up. He walked over to the fireplace and held it over the flame. But just as he was about to throw it in, he froze.

Why should I care after all this time? I should just burn it, just like I'll do to him the next time I see him. If I ever see him again...

"Dabi, are you ok?" Toga said, placing a hand on his shoulder. He looked up at her, and then slowly started to open the letter.

Can I see you?

-Hawks

"See, I told you," Dabi said, "a waste of time." The letter fell into the fire, turning to ash.

Dabi walked through the dark alley, his collar pulled up to cover his face, his hands resting in his pockets. "Tell me why I shouldn't kill you now?"

"Its good to see you too, Touya," Hawks said as he walked out from the shadows, "I'm surprised you came."

"That's still not a reason not to kill you, Keigo." Dabi walked towards Hawks raising his hand to Hawks' face. Hawks could feel the heat radiating from his hand.

"If you want to kill me, then kill me Dabi," Hawks said his eyes meeting Dabi's. Dabi didn't move but Hawks could feel the heat on his face slowly disappear, "I'm waiting."

"You've made your point, now what do you want?" Dabi said dropping his hand to his side.

Hawks grabbed Dabi's hand as it fell, "I want you."

Dabi pulled his hand away, "Why should I trust you? Did you forget, you betrayed me. You lied to me. About everything."

"And you burned my wings off," Hawks said, "but still, here we are. Because I didn't lie to you about everything."

"I would say that was a valid reaction, and I see your wings are just fine," Dabi said turning his back towards Hawks, "but you still lied, so tell me Hawks, what is it you didn't lie about."

"I meant it when I told you I love you," Hawks reached his hand out and placed it on Dabi's shoulder, "I may have lied to you but not about how I felt."

Dabi pulled his shoulder away from Hawks' hand, "which one did you love Touya or Dabi?"

"I love you. I loved you when you were Touya, and then I lost you." Hawks sighed and walked closer to Dabi, "then I met Dabi and for the first time in what felt like an eternity, I felt something I never thought I could feel again. Because whether you're Touya or Dabi... I love you."

"And where has love gotten either one of us," Dabi yelled turning back to Hawks, "I loved my father and look at me, look what that got me, I wear the scars everyday of what love has gotten me. I love you Keigo, and you betrayed me. So why should I care about love."

Hawks smiled at him, "What was that?"

"What are you smiling about?" Dabi said.

Hawks wrapped his arms around Dabi's neck pulling him close, "you said you love me, Do you love me?"

"That doesn't matter," Dabi said but he didn't move away from Hawks. Slowly he wrapped his arms around Hawks' waist and lowered his lips to his ear, "it could never work anyways, we're not kids anymore."

"And yet..." Hawks said, moving his lips to Dabi's so he was just a centimeter away from him, "you still came here."

"Yeah, to kill you." Dabi said pulling Hawks' waist closer to him.

"And yet, I'm not dead, so Dabi, are you going to kill me? Or kiss me?" Hawks whispered brushing his lips lightly against Dabi's.

With this Dabi moved his arms down around Hawks' legs and pulled them up around his waist, while simultaniously slamming his back against the against the wall. Hawks let out a groan, before Dabi pressed his lips against his.

Hawks moved his hands to run through Dabi's hair, pulling Dabi's face closer to his before they broke apart, "maybe this can't work, Dabi," Hawks said, as his feet touched the ground again, "but I would really like to try."
